Yes. And I am completely putting all the blame of making me even more hyped for Anuj-Anupama. So I guess I am on that ship too 🤷♀️. And we do not leave any person behind. D is right there with us, Nina's been pulled on board... that leaves us with - Arshi *looks pointedly* . Because together we ship, together we sink 🤣
So anyway, I remember when I was watching this show on and off and saw an fc for Samar-Nandini. I know acting and chemistry is pretty subjective but god thar surprised me and I thought I just had an unpopular opinion of them being terrible. But looking at twitter now, seems it is actually a pretty popular opinion 😆.
So to the fangirling bit. This is gonna be a bit of a rambling. But how amazing is Anuj Kapadia as a character. I love how he has been portrayed as this character who loves Anu so selflessly and unconditionally, just as she is. But does not impose his feelings on her and neither does he have any hopes of being with her. I guess its also his feminist characteristic that wins with that fierce respect for women and not just Anupama. His thought on men's conditioning 👌. Being that big businessman and yet realizing that Anu (or women) does not need him to succeed. Recognizing that someone gave him that one opportunity that propelled him to where he is and now when he is in the position to offer such opporutnities, why not? Such a contrast to the toxic, abusive Shahs. And it probably sounds overly good and sweet but somehow Anuj isnt. He isnt boring, goody two shoes either. He still has the charisma and quirks.. My heart melted for him when he spoke about his love for Anu, wanting to confess it to her, not being able to and eventually not doing it for her happiness, the heartbreak of then of losing his own parents. My man deserves all the love and happiness and everything be damned of he doesnt get it (if you cant tell, there is spilled bitterness from unfulfilled wishes for another character 🤔)! In a way though, even if he had confessed his feelings to Anu then, she wasnt ready for it. Knowing her, she would have probably rejected him. It had to be that way then...for it to be this way now.
Most important- THAT dreammmm of his . I LOVED LOVED IT. It was the first time Anu-Anuj were shown being romantic of sorts and I was blushing throughout. It was sweet and yet the domesticity of the scene had its own intimacy. If you know what I mean. The two were flowed so easily and they looked natural with each other. Honestly, I wasnt expecting it. Not to mention, I was actually skeptical about them when news of GK's entry was first announced. So for this to turnaround like this is pretty amazing. And and like someone else pointed out, he woke up with a start and was actually worried about it. Of even harbouring hopes subconsciously. Despite how happy it probably made his heart, for him to consider how unfair it must be to Anu when she doesnt think of him that way or have space for him in her life. That it is wrong for him to even think of her that way. It just made him so more ..endearing.
I need a slow but fulfilling progression of these two. Bas. Also if Gaalib Saab doesnt get his share of love, I might just go on a rampage.
Right. I'll stop my rambling.
For now. 😆
