Same here... First I had decided to give up on the show when that truck scene had come. But my love for Pallavi made me stay back.

Then I had almost decided to quit the show at this point of time... and I didn't watch a number of episodes including the character assasination one... but then changed my mind and didn't quit.

Yes the way the written update js given it implies something else but RR knows clearly that Pals isn't materialistic. She's with him only coz he changed and she loves him.
