Okay. I have a different take on why they show so much of a Precap. I think they can see that TRPs aren't gonna increase much but that MHRW has a very loyal fanbase which they really need.

The moment they deviate a lil without giving much surety, the FD is up in Flames diagnosing things left & right and it creates a negative mood. We all know what happened the last time😳

It's more about telling the audience in a subtle way - You enjoy the track but don't get worried too much cos we're gonna show things the way you'll like so

You're right about the reassurance thing. People do get a bit out of control when there seems to be uncertainty. I don't exactly mind them showing little snippets of the future episodes in the precap, it's just that it cuts into the actual episode's length. Also, we're sometimes shown whole sequences, as reassuring as it is, the scene loses it's essence (in my opinion) when it is actually aired because they have given away the main substance (I can't think of a better word rn) of the scene.
