you are correct he should give her that confidence by trying to help her with the proofs and working as unit I too feel tht way the MU would not happen and he is failing miserably to convey her his POV talking in camera would not help if he talks it clearly with her and help her understand where she is lacking and she can help him understand where he is lacking …

I stand by this, too.

Let’s circle back to a few weeks ago when the KC truth came out. Imlie never found any concrete proof that the KC-Malini angle was fake, but her instincts were on point from the beginning and Adi himself admitted that when KC told him the truth.

If you think about it, there hasn’t been a single instance so far in the story where Imlie’s instincts have been entirely wrong. Another good example is their family’s reaction to the truth of their marriage coming out — Adi was confident that their family will openly accept Imlie because of their unconditional love for her, but she was far more realistic in her expectations.

Given all of these experiences + Adi having witnessed Imlie being such a DD bhakt all throughout until very recently, his alarms should’ve gone off the moment Imlie raised her suspicions over Malini to him. She first did this even before SK shot Adi. Ideally, his first step should’ve been hearing her out patiently and analyzing the possibility that Imlie could be right instead of outrightly dismissing her, calling her ‘immature’ then and ‘insecure’ now. We can try to justify his actions by claiming he’s a man who wants to avoid unnecessary conflicts, but how long will that suffice? He should trust by now that Imlie’s the last person to try to interfere in their so-called gehri dosti without a genuine reason. Even if he wants it not to, this angle will eventually cause problems in his relationship with Imlie.

I don’t believe it’s on Imlie’s shoulders alone to collect proof to expose Malini. Like Wizard ji said, Adi has more experience in these areas professionally, and the least that he can do is guide her on how to bring the truth forward. I keep coming back to the point that justice cannot be selective. Whether Imlie should’ve let SK escape or not is debatable, certainly Adi’s fully justified in feeling hurt and angry with her here, but him not taking all the very clear red flags pertaining to Malini’s changed behavior seriously, especially when they’re disturbing his wife mentally and emotionally, is completely wrong too. Two wrongs don’t make a right, that’s a fact.

Okay i am going to play the devil's advocate here😆

Aditya doesn't completely trust Imlie. The whole pill fiasco is written to show us audience that. If Aditya really believed in Imlie, why would he go to pharmacy and check the CCTV? He wanted to fact check before he supported imlie?

Comparing this situation to Aditya investigating SK and declaring his innocence is skewed. First he did not know SK personally then. He was just doing his job as an unbiased reporter. Here imlie is his wife. Why does he need to investigate her? Doesn't he know her?

He knew prescription was swapped at home. What did he hope to see in the pharmacy? He sees that imlie came into the shop smiling and reasons that if imliya wanted to hurt Malini she would not be smiling like this and would not want to tie rakhi to Malini😆

He did not prove her innocence to anyone. He just convinced himself before supporting her in front of Malini. If he really trusted her, he would not need to go and check.

Even before janmastami fiasco😆. Aditya was in the hall talking to Rupi. He said he and imlie were not talking and wondered if imlie would come and dance with him. This, after imlie went by herself and asked him to practice with her. Rupi declares that what ever fights happen between you two, imlie will never put family's reputation on line. Immediately girgit kumar changes tune and says "yeh baat hum dono jaante hai di.. but kya humara parivaar samjhega?"😆

Imlie on her part wanted to leave after the pill fiasco. She was hurt by BBSB's silence. She wanted some ishaara from SM that she is on the right path. She took NN's arrival as the sign she is looking for and stayed back. Both of them brushed the issue under the carpet and chose not to speak about it.

Also the shooting incident. Imlie declared that Malini is responsible for inciting SK. Aditya and Imlie have a different take on who is more responsible for it. But if BBSB believes her as much as he says he does, why not help her find proofs? Well even if he doesn't believe Malini is at fault, why not investigate and prove to imlie that Malini is innocent? Isn't that what he did when imlie was accused? What is he afraid of now?

We all know BBSB doesn't really trust Malini. Remember he accused her of locking him in the room during BBC. And didi guilt-tripped him and decided to go evil? After that incident he has consciously decided to trust her though his instincts tell him otherwise😆

Subconsciously BBSB trusts imlie enough to go check the CCTV and conclude without any doubt that imlie did not do it. He knows Imlie will never leave him in a difficult situation, so its easy to convince himself on Rupi's assurance.

With malini that is not the case. BBSB is afraid of what he will find out. So he is not checking at all😆

This is a case of misplaced trust. BBSB ignored the oops-i-dont-know-how-i-ended-up-in-your-bed, the dance molestation, the pill fiasco, and the shooting incident. Now didi has grown bold enough to try to pull off a you-assaulted-with-me game😆

I agree Jojo the onus to prove innocence should be on Adi not imlie she should do what is inherent to her nature listen to the family accept their wishes and ask Adi to nibhao rishta with Malini and tell him that she can manage herself and her rishta alone and leave makers can give us a good emotional send off scene between the two and a nice separation as I am sadist and I want a separation to show the family and everyone that adilie relationship is far different than Malini. let Malinis insecurities and lies all come in front one by one
