Weirdly RD, this explanation is what I have also been thinking of this whole time as the reason for Adi's ostrichpana. It is difficult for him to act on doing anything against Malini without any proof, as Malini convinently shows her sickly sweet side to him everytime they is a chance he may doubt her. Hence it keeps ping ponging in his head that while he wants to believe in Imlie, without proof he does not want to blame Malini like he once did and had to suffer for it with her almost kiling herself because of him. This is what is guilting him into wearing blinders for her. And again I say don't go by Adi's words which are always vipreet from his actions. The guy's was convincing Imlie to accept Malini as his friend in their life, but just a few secs before had said that it did not matter to him where she stays and what she does. He just says what he thinks Malini wants to her to keep her calm and get his work done but wants to make sure he does not become the reason again for her doing something to herself.
Bang on, Aps ji!
Case in point — up until Imlie was oblivious to Malini’s intentions and there was no open contention between the two, Adi missed no opportunity to refer to Malini as Imlie’s badi behen and vice versa 😆
Now she’s all of a sudden gone back to being his dost for life … big hollow declarations just as he’s telling her to finalize the divorce 😆
It’s like he’s at the last leg of the two-legged race and he’s trying to avoid doing anything to antagonize his partner and trip them before they reach the finish line urf the divorce 🤣 This is literally the best analogy I can think of, so I apologize if it’s a bad fit 🤣
This man seems like a dud in his actions, but if we go by his words & expressions, he could be the most shrewd character in the show 🤓
If this really is true, and that’s a big if I know 😆, he has no qualms against destabilizing Imlie and their relationship in the short-term if it means they’ll live happily together in the long-run. 😳
