Vedika has always been a negative character

I know in this forum, many people believe Vedika not to be a negative character but I have different view point for that. Irrespective of the fact that in ITV dramas, ex girlfriends are always a negative character (Please let me know if u have seen any show where an ex girlfriend wasn't a negative character), I think she is already negative. Yes she doesn't openly plan and plot against Ram or any other character as well but that only means she is not a total villain like Priya's father but she is definitely a gray character.

I mean she is an active participant in her husband Shashi's plan to bring Ram down in every way possible. And it has never been shown to us that Vedika is unhappy or forced to act lovey dovey in front of Ram. No matter how much big of an ask it is or that she does not have any right to ask but she keeps on asking favors from him. She must have also known what Shashi's plan was to get after getting Shivina married to Sid but still she always plays the part. She is always makes sure that she is around Ram or his family constantly and tries to act all pure infront of him.

I don't think that she loves Ram at all, she is just selfish and doesn't want to loose the attention that Ram has on her and the power she holds on him becoz the acts she does each and every time are not of someone who loves someone selflessly but she turns up with puppy dog eyes infront of Ram. If she really loved Ram, she would stop hurting him and give him a chance to move on.

I also found that episode 5 scene between Ram and Vedika to be fake on her part, even though her emotions when she said that let one love story be complete seemed like true becoz whatever was between Ram and Vedu, it never reached its destination but the other parts did seem to be orchestrated as let's not forget that Sid-Shivi marriage was something that Shashi wanted at any cost so the entire scene seemed too calm for this.

I think she is 'passively' negative. She doesn't do anything directly, but just follows Shashi's orders blindly knowing that she will hurt Ram.

I am already getting annoyed by the screenspace she is getting nowadays 😡

Cvs please reduce her scenes and Ram's Vedu jaap 😭

That's an interesting take.

So far, Vedika isn't outright villain so wouldn't bash her yet. But yes, I don't understand why she isn't sensitive to Ram's sentiments. I find today's ending scene slightly weird.

By the way, Rang Badalti Odhani on Star One had a positive ex-girlfriend.

Re ..she is this ..she never loved ram but using his love for her very well.. she is just pretending to be used by her husband but no she is an equal participant of torturing and playing with Ram's emotionas😭

Once RM stops to give her any importance which she is getting now ,she will show her real colors ..

She reminds me of shagun in yhm...she doesn't want ram back,at the same time don't want to lose the importance that she haps in his life either

I also think she is a negative character- and not just in a passive way..there might be more to her as the story progresses....never know, might be the case that the entire "being Ram's girlfriend" plot was schemed by her and Shashi...Ekta is totally capable of this!!

I think she has some feelings for ram and feels emotional for him but she is controlled by her husband.. she just does what her husband says her to do… but after ram’s wedding I can see her becoming negative or at least grey

Vedu is just attention seeker. She is getting all the attention from Ram. I don't th I k she loves Ram. She might turn negative when Ram stops attending to her. Right now I feel she is neutral.

Yup vedika is negative or for now just a grey shaded character. I think shashi will be the main villain after sometime as it looks like he is the most clever and his wife can't do anything except nautanki😆

Agreed... Vedika will turn out to be negative but I have seen shows where ex's are not always negative. Of the top of my head KRPKAB 1 - male lead was gonna marry this girl but then realised he is in love with the female lead so calls the wedding of on the day. She doesn't turn negative and remains a constant character. She is back for season 3 and is still positive so thats a good thing.
