By the way, fan pages have started calling this the "Arudeep" song because of the number of times they have sung this duet in so many different interviews and impromptu sessions in addition to on Indian Idol and on Super Dancer. As you can expect, a reference is also being made to the lyrics "jo meri manzilon ko jaati hai, tere naam ki koi sadak hai na" now that the road leading to PD's house has officially named as "Pawandeep Rajan Marg".

On the point of stats - one of the Octopus reels has garnered nearly 4 M views in less than 72 hours on one of the most widely followed Arunita fan page on IG (not Arudeep fan page). The reel posted yesterday by PD has 800 K views in just 15 hours on his IG, and many hundreds of K on fan pages.

Another interesting observation. Despite all the talk of "hum sab itne achchhe dost ban gaye hain" - likes for these reels are coming from SMP only, not from others.

I think some of the extra interest is due to fan sites observing some jodi day on the 1st and 2nd.

I think the amount of attention that the pair is getting is bound to affect others mentally. It is natural. SMP herself is getting a lot of attention plus she is different. Confident about who she is and what she is capable of.

Re. bold 1: but that is exactly where "friendship" comes in, right? Being genuinely happy for the other person's success.

Re. bold 2: Absolutely! She is a role model of how to own the stage and orchestrate the orchestra! I believe some of the celebrity guests on the show have also made a special mention of this.

Don't remember any contestant of any reality show could fascinate me in this way. Aru is blessed. She is different.

Playback singing is the best choice for Aru where her god gifted singing talent can be rationally capitalized for synergized effect. One may register multiple non playback hit numbers resulting temporary craze/appreciation but one needs playback singing to earn timeless respect and popularity leaving permanent mark among the general audience.

I believe BW will bounce back in full swing shortly. The pattern of movie songs could be changed but BW has been and will be the main stream of music for general audience. Even II12 or any singing reality show mostly depends on film music, no matter if the songs are 30-40 years old! I can't imagine any singing reality show with non film songs only!

I hope Aru doesn't lose her focus from her dream to be a BW singer. She should not be derailed from chasing her dream. She has the potentiality to become a legendary playback singer. ❤️

Let's see if God permits me to enjoy II25 with my Biwi where the contestants will sing original songs of our very own Aru 😊
