The statement is factually wrong. Amitabh Bachchan by far is the biggest star in the history of BW and likely to remain so, unless one of the Khans or Kumars or Devgans surpasses him.

These considerations keep changing with time. If you ask old timers, people would have sworn it was Dilip Kumar. After that came the craze of Rajesh Khanna who was a megastar in his own right. Then came the angry young man.

Waise abhi bolenge toh even though they are grandpa aged, currently the Khans have still continued to remain in our minds, by and large, as the top players (SRK keeps slipping every day though).

I would have expected first Hrithik, then Ranb/vir to snatch that crown (Akshay & AD were always considered lower, though they've made great progress off late). But to no avail. The wait continues for the next megastar... And yes, that could very well be an actress!
