Who would've thought that a "war" film made on a decorated Shaheed, would be known equally for his Love Story. That's what beautifully crafted films do, we get to see the real Vikram Batra and we get to meet Dimple Cheema. The only regret is that it wasn't able to release in theatres...would've been Sid's "Kabir Singh".

Hats off to Vishnuvardhan, Sandeep Shrivastava & the whole Shershah team. One of the best biography's to come out of Bollywood. 5/5

Wow. that’s coming from someone who is known to be extremely stingy when it comes to bestowing complements on the others. 👍🏼⭐️

And I agree with him. Here is one movie which shows how one doesn’t have to resort to over the top chest thumping and jingoism to present the life of an Army man but still touch the hearts of it’s audience.👏

I hope everyone noticed the nuances like how in one scene the men neatly fold the Pakistani flag after pulling it down to hoist the Indian flag and in another scene the army men won’t step or stamp on the Pakistani flag that was lying on the ground. I knew right then that this was going to be an Epic movie!

I managed to watch the film last night. Last 30 minutes or so was just too hard to watch without crying. I was lucky I watched alone it was so embarrassing for me since I don’t cry for any films like this. Sid was so good that it was unbelievable. I am happy he is getting a lot of good wishes and reviews for his acting. He deserves it. I hope this gives him the much needed boost to continue hone his acting skills. I can’t help but compare this with his SOTY co stars’ turning point films, meaning highway and badlapur. I would rate Sid=Alia>Varun in this order. Great work Sid! I am not from India so I honestly cannot connect on very deep level but as a human being seeing the last part of the melted my heart.

Capt Vikram Batra is a real life hero for me so I was a bit apprehensive that the movie and Sid Malhotra would do justice to his story.

The story telling and Sid M's portrayal both worked for me. It was sweet and simple and so poignant in the end.I cried in the end but I will never not cry when it comes to Shershaah's death.

It is was a well made movie and sid did good, kiara, even though had a small role made an impact...maybe because the batras and dimple are such nice people and it reflected in the way movie was made. No ott scenes or jingoism made it for an easy watch.
