The legendary He-Man of Indian cinema, Dharmendra, recently faced a health scare, leading to his admission to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital for almost a week. He was later discharged and is now recovering at his Juhu home, where his family has opted to continue his treatment. The past few days have been challenging for the Deol family, including Hema Malini and their children, as well as Dharmendra's fans and well-wishers.

Dharmendra, the 89-year-old Bollywood veteran, is recovering steadily at home after being discharged from Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital last week.

According to a report by NDTV, he is "fine and doing better than earlier," bringing relief to fans worried about his health. Dharmendra was hospitalized a few days before October 31 due to breathlessness and was placed on a ventilator for a brief period. However, doctors later stabilized him, and he was discharged with instructions to continue treatment at home.

The actor's family, including wife Hema Malini and children Sunny Deol and Esha Deol, has been by his side throughout his recovery. Several Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, have also visited him at the hospital to show their support.

Family planning to celebrate 90th birthday with Dharmendra’s recovery

Dharmendra's recovery is continuing at home, with a senior doctor confirming that his medical care will be under home supervision. The actor's family has requested privacy during this time, asking the media to avoid unnecessary speculation.

With Dharmendra's condition stabilising, plans are reportedly being made to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8. A source from the family mentioned, "If God is willing, we will be celebrating two birthdays next month - Dharamji’s and Esha's," though there's no official confirmation from the Deol family yet.

Hema Malini and Esha Deol’s reaction on false news

Reacting to the false reports on November 11 claiming Dharmendra's passing, the actor's daughter Esha Deol took to Instagram to address the rumors. "The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery."

Hema Malini also lashed out, saying, "What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy."

Dharmendra upcoming project

Dharmendra is gearing up for his next project, Sriram Raghavan's film Ikkis, alongside Agastya Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson. The film is scheduled to release on December 25.
