As far as I remember Pallu only mentioned that amma had the same doubt on them. Nothing derogatory or even explicit 🤔

My theory is that Star felt that even a reference to homosexuality was 'too edgy' for them, and it's nothing to do with how terrible the Amma track was, and that's just a fortunate byproduct

Exactly- Dostana was offensive beyond belief, but it was a time when you could get away with such nonsense. Today, creators are held slightly more accountable- though I have a feeling it was less due to the horrible jokes, and more because 'homosexuality is too edgy' for Star- rishta wohi, soch not nayi, you know.

They ruined the word dostana for ever with that movie. Before that dostana was plain friendship. Now that word implies gay relationship. Homosexuality if addressed in the right context, for instance they showed it in that youth show with Parth and Neeti Taylor as Manik and Nandini.. that is acceptable even if edgy. But the minute they start making lame jokes out of it, it gets offensive and not funny at all. So that way, Im glad they edited it out. They should edit out Amma's dialogues too.

Amma's been edited too- and the maa da laadla bgm replaced with more generic music. Barring spoiling the flow of that one scene, it was an overall good call, I think.

I logged in to praise Pallavi's acting in today's episode, she brilliantly manipulated Deshmukhs (leaving Aai and Amruta ) with her performance, and by coincidence, we have a thread named after her dramebaazi ❤️

Sulo and Mandaar had been attempting to emotionally manipulate her up until now, and see how things have changed.

In that scene, I don't think she emphasized on the gay angle.. She was teasing him by not telling him who changed his clothes right? And then she said you'r too heavy so I couldn't.. Farhad changed your clothes.. her expression were so good in that scene. That and the drunk night act are my favorite so far. Hoping to see more of that side of her in this track before things again get serious, which will inevitably be the case once Mandhar gets to know about their plan.

Ohh, it was really super subtle...which is why chopping it made no sense- Raghav was relieved to find out that Farhad changed his clothes, and she threw a light comment about him preferring that it was a guy, that's it.
