She discusses with GKB how Soha was against Ayush becoming part of the family , Ishwari says they better perform the name change rasam as Pandit ji had advised . Ishwari calls Pandit ji n fixes appointment for next morning .
Next morning Dev has brought book for Ayush asks him to check them out as they will be his course . Dev tells Sona he will try to get Ayush admitted to day
After Devakshi leave for their work GIB n Ishwari welcome Pandit ji .
Ishwari wants to name him Ved Dixit . Ishwa RK Pandit ji and GKB are excited about it , Mama ji is against doing this name change without Devakshi’s approval .
Ishwari wants to break Ayush’s ties with Grandparents l he wants his old ties to be severed for new ties to form .

Ishwari then wants Ayush to come down for his naming ceremony . Ayush is covering his new books and refuses to accompany him .,Ayush refuses to consider Ishwari his Daadi , refuses to listen to her .
ayush says Sona aunty had promised his name will not be changed , he asks Daadi to call Sona aunty … ishwari does emotional black mail . Persuades him to change into new kurta pajama .
Pandit ji wants child’s parents to be called , Ishwari sits in place of parents .

Sona is driving to office , she realises a file is missing , she turns around to collect the file from home . As she is about to reach home when Bijoy calls her seeking help as he suffered sprain ankle . Sona gets frustrated but assures baba of help .
Dev goes to school , principal asks Dev to get the surname at elastic chNged as only then he will have connection to Dev as his son .
at home Name change procedure is completed , he is in tears as Pandit ji says his old name was destroyed in the fire , Ayush was reborn. He was given new identity …named Ved Dixit .
Ishwari and GKB five Ayush gifts and sweets, he throws everything away n runs off to his room .
Pandit ji blesses everyone n departs . GOB wants Dev might not say anything but Sona will pull the roof down when she comes to know .
Ishwari informs Dev that she had performed naamkaran ceremony for Ayush n named him Ved Dev Dixit .
Dev is taken aback , he question Maa. Ishwari warns him to take care of Sona as she did not want Tamasha in front of Ved .
At Elena’s home . Vicky is happy he will get her home cooked food as Elena decides to stay at home . Elena then is worried for her missing fav ear rings . She gets an intuition some one had entered her room, Elena feels unsafe in her room .
Sona meets Dev at their fav tea stall , Sona excitedly shows him a milk mug she had got for Ayush .. it had the name “Ayushman “ on it .
Devakshi sit together … they enjoy kullar waali chai .. Sona notices Dev looks upset . Dev then hesitates as he informs about Naamkaran ceremony at home , Ayush was named Ved . Sona is shocked . She asks Dev if he knew about this ceremony . Dev states if he knew would he not stop it ??

Dev asks Sona to calm down , not to create trouble at home with Ishwari . Not to argue with his maa. As Ayush will hate his maa… Sona says Ayush must be so upset ..his Sona aunty had failed to keep her promise . Ayush will hate Sona .
Dev says They could not change what had already happened .., so they can try to accept the facts . Sona is disgusted with Dev .
sona accuses Dev of failing to take a stand for his son, for his wife , he was a failed father n a failed husband , he knows very well what Ishwari did was wrong !!
Dev asks Sona to accompany him home. Sona weeps that she had failed as a mother to protect her child . she is ashamed n does not want to face her son . She refuses to accompany Dev .
