CHAPTER 9
The entire city was busy with The radio jockeys interacting with their lively audience in their low pitch making sure that their sound waves reach everyone’s cochlea , the shop keepers & vendors screaming in their high voice for their daily income. The rustling of people running to reach their work place on time to avoid overtime & save their monthly allowance , children rushing to school and education centres , which ultimately lead to a heavy traffic jam with sounds of horns and people’s buzz of high decibel enough to cause a temporary deafness.
Amongst these hustle bustle , two different people , in different locations with same ultimate motive were prepared for there big day in similar way.
Two groups , Two different pathways , but one target.
Who will achieve their target today ?!
The curious cat or the sleazy wolf ?!
Finally the much awaited D day arrived.
As planned Roli reached the airport by 1:45 pm in her casuals with her team lead by Pandey. And as informed by Amar , Amit arranged 4 cars similar to Joesph’s Car. Inside the airport due to commotion made by Kunal , a police officer in disguise with his fake covid positive test report , the airport authorities announced the request of every passengers and attendants to wear PPE suit to control the virus spread.
Dheeraj along with Rohan , a police officer in mufti were prepared for the arrival of Joesph and his family.
Amit who was waiting outside the airport disguised as a commoner was scanning through the crowd to find any unusual activities and trying to track down the disguised hooligans.
Meanwhile the hooligans were prepared with there tools , Chloroform , and other necessary things to kidnap their victim.

At sharp 4 pm ,
after the announcement of arrival of airlines from Malaysia.
Amar , Roli, police team , Pandey , Amit , Dheeraj , Rohan , the disguised hooligans everyone were on their position and alert.
As expected every passengers came out in PPE suits which lead to confusion among hooligans buying more time for the cops to do their job.
Roli and Pandey as instructed by Amar escorted Joesph’s family to the cars safely as planned . While Amit took the wheel of one , Roli and Pandey followed the car behind in a safe distance.
Hooligans unable to identify their target , decided to track Joseph down by Joseph’s vehicle number.
As soon as they noticed Joseph’s car leave the airport premise , they followed the car behind closely waiting for a chance to nab Joseph without public attention.
After 20 mins of drive , at the second traffic signal from airport , Joseph’s family car was safely diverted towards their home in a different route.
With each traffic signal , one car diverts towards the opposite way.
Because presence of more than two cars with same number plates may evoke a suspicion at the other end , they might get a sniff that someone is working against them.
Everything was going according to Amar & Roli’s plan , until suddenly the last two cars got stuck amid the rally by student welfare committee for their beneficiaries.
Which became a positive sign for the hooligans.
The hooligans , in disguise joined the rally and moved towards their targeted vehicle only to get betrayed. They were shocked to see a thin , middle aged man about 40 years on the wheel with a young man dressed in a PPE suit on the passenger seat. While the back seat was filled with baggages. Muttering a sorry , Without losing their hope they rummaged through the rally to find their target vehicle. After 10 mins they found a similar car ahead stuck amid the rally. Thanking the students for the rally in their minds for helping them indirectly to trap their target. They moved towards the car only to see it taking a right turn at the signal. Without wasting time , they ran behind the car informing their friends of same occupation to trace and follow the car. As their car was stuck.
Nearly after 25 mins of tracking and chasing them , the hooligans overtook the car and pulled the passengers out to nab Joseph. But to their disappointment it was someone else inside the PPE suit. To be precise another passenger.
They again searched throughout the area to find that wanted guy in fear for their lives. Because they knew how much of importance is that guy for their boss.

Meanwhile in Airport.
Amar : Thank you so much Dheeraj for your kind cooperation.
Dheeraj : it’s my pleasure sir , it was great working with you.
Then He turns towards Rohan and Joseph who were in their PPE suits waiting in Dheeraj’s cabin.
Amar : Rohan get Joseph safely to our vehicle.
Rohan : yes sir. ( to Joseph ) this way sir.
Amar ( smiles ) : ok Dheeraj . we will have to make a move now , before someone spots Joesph here.
Dheeraj : I understand sir , in case of any help don’t hesitate to contact me.
Amar : sure. It was really great knowing you.
Amar , Rohan along with Joseph stealthily move out of the airport premise in Rohan’s car.

On the other side ,
Amit made sure that Joseph’s family reached their house safely without any hurdle.
Roli and Pandey who were following the cars separately, recorded all the movements of the hooligans.
After comprehending the situation, the hooligans figured it out that they have missed their target.
Fretting about their boss’s reaction , they decided to pass on the information through their contacts and flea from the city for few months.
Roli and Pandey followed every minute actions of the hooligans and followed them to their hideout only to see them preparing to flea away.
Roli shared the location and ordered her team to catch hold of the hooligans and take them down into their custody.
As expected, the hooligans were caught as a whole and taken down into the police custody under different case of chain snatching and theft.
Instead of police station , the hooligans were taken to a old factory. Where Amit was already present with his weapons to make them spit the truth.
While Amar made sure that Rohan along with Joseph reached the hotel which was owned by Bharadwaj family.

On the other side ,
Being furious of letting go Joseph out of his hand , the man in his late forties broke the big screen in front of him into tiny pieces and shards , the vases into million pieces and destroyed the room.
Letting go of his frustration, he called his best man , to get the detailed information.
His best man , a man in his late thirties entered the room which looked like the after effect of a storm struck.
He went to his boss and filled up the details and also the info , that the hooligans flew away in fear.
Boss : something is wrong somewhere. Get the details of the passengers whom those halfwits found instead of Joseph.
Best man : yes sir.

Amar and Roli can be seen standing behind the one way mirror watching the investigation process between the hooligans and Amit.
Inside the investigation room ,
Amit : what’s your name ??
Hooligans team leader : why should I tell you ?? And on what basis have you bought me here ?? I will file a case against you.
Amit : I asked what is your name ??
Hooligans team leader : are you mad , why are you repeating the same thing.
Amit : Pandey , 5 mins of 1st degree
Pandey : ok sir.
(After a few of first degree police charge )
Amit : so now tell me , what is your name ??
Hooligans team leader : Karan.
Amit : Karan ?! But your teammates told that your name is Girish.
Hooligans team leader : my name is Girish Karan.
Amit : oh ok. Where are you from ??
Girish : here only.
Amit : here only means , there is no name for the place ?!

Amit : who are all in your family ??
Girish : no one.
Amit : what is your age ?

Amit : what do you for your daily bread ?!
Girish : I ......i .....
Amit : you ?!
Girish : work as a henchmen sir

Amit : Paandey ....
Girish : no sir ..... sir I really haven’t met him. He gives all instructions on call sir and money for the work will be delivered to our house once the work is done sir.
Amit : Do you know anything about him ??
Girish : No sir.
Amit : Think well and say.
Girish : no sir .........ah .....sir he stutters ....
Amit : what ?!
Girish : yes sir , he stutters a bit while talking.

Best man : sir , we have collected all the details.
Man : then what are you waiting for ?? Spill the beans fast.
Best man : sir as per our details , the young man who was found in the first car was Mr. Barun , he is working in an IT firm and was returning from his month long Malaysia vacation. While the old man , Mr. Subu on the wheel, is the car driver. He has been driving since 32 years.
Whereas the man whom we found in the second car was Mr. Parth , an engineer and he is returning to India from UK after 2 years sir.
Man : What about the car details ?? How did they have same number plates ??
Best man : Sir , first of all the car number plates weren’t same they were similar and those halfwits got confused.
Man raised his eyebrows.
Best man : sir , the number plate of Joseph’s car is DL 8HP 9809, while the car which those followed were DL 8IP 9809 ans DL 9HB 8989 sir. Since all those letters and numbers look similar from distance those dumbwits would have got confused sir. And more over those two cars belong to Airport Taxi authorities sir.
Man ( disturbed look ) : hmm .... still I feel something is wrong somewhere.

Amar : Roli , collect the details about the dark gang and try to get more details about the stuttering boss.
Roli : yes sir.
Roli :Sir the list of the numbers which were activated in the cafeteria yesterday at 2:40 pm is ready. And the phone record of Mr. Siddhant Bharadwaj and his team members is also available.
Amar : Good , you go through them once and note down the suspicious numbers.
Roli : yes sir.
Pandey : sir .. ma’am , congratulations
Roli : For what ?!
Pandey : arey maam , we have successfully double crossed those imbeciles with our foolproof plan.

Amar : remember all the cars should look the same , but the number plates should have a minute difference which a normal person usually fail to notice. Like for example if it had 8 then in place of 8 , there should be 9 which should confuse them for 8. You got my point.
Roli : yes sir .
Roli : Sir we can use Airport taxis for this , they usually have similar numbers , and let normal passengers use them.
So in case if Mr. Z cross check the number plates then we can be on the safer side.
Amar : Good idea Roli , you contact Dheeraj for the same.
Roli : yes sir.
Amar : instead of Joseph we will send another person with similar physique to confuse them with Amit who will on the wheel.
Roli : Meanwhile Joseph will be safe with Rohan and Dheeraj in his cabin.
Amar : Yes , Roli can you contact Prem Bharadwaj through DCP sir and ask them to book a room in their Bharadwaj Royal Heritage Hotel for Joseph.
Roli : Sure sir , but why them ??
Amar : because if we make Joseph stay somewhere else or in police accommodation, then the mastermind can get the wind of it through their black sheep present in our department or through the rich VIPs who will always lay down at their feet for money and fame.
But in case of Bharadwaj, they are the family of the victim , so they will leave no stone unturned to get justice for their son. And I have full hope in them that they won’t fall for the riches and power , when it’s their son on the other side.
Roli : yes sir.

After Roli pass down the message to DCP , he contacted Prem Bharadwaj regarding the same.
On call ,
DCP : hello , is this Mr. Prem Bharadwaj?!
Prem : yes , may i know who is speaking??
DCP : I am Mr. Mittal , the DCP of the city.
Prem : oh sir .... you ?! Any progress on the case ?!
DCP : our investigation is going on. Will let you know about the results soon.
Prem ( loosing his temper) : sir , it has been weeks still you guys couldn’t find anything regarding the case ?? What are you all doing ??
DCP : have patience mr. prem. It’s not any movie that we will solve a case in a day or two. It real life. It takes time.
Prem ( calming down ): sorry sir , it’s just ....
DCP : I understand. By the way , we want a help from you regarding the case
Prem : our help ??
DCP : yes , actually one of the important lead , who could take us till the depth of the case is coming tomorrow. So we need a safe place for him. We thought no place can be better than Bharadwaj Royal Heritage Hotel. That’s why ....
Prem : who is that lead sir ??
DCP : sorry mr. prem , it’s confidential. But we can assure you that there will be no harm to you and your family.
Prem : we trust you sir . You just send us the basic details about him , so we can book a room for him.
DCP : sorry mr. prem we can’t send his details , because we can’t risk his safety. So can you book a room on one of our officers details ?? He will also be there.
Prem : sure sir.
DCP : ok then , Our officer Rohan will forward all the necessary details to you. You can check with him regarding this.
Prem : sure sir.
DCP : thank you for your cooperation.
Prem : it’s my duty sir.

Amar : Then from Airport , I will drop Joseph and Rohan to Bharadwaj Royal Heritage Hotel by 4:45 pm.

Roli : He means that we would have made some mistake somewhere in our plan while executing it. Through which they could get us.
Pandey : but we didn’t do any mistakes sir.
Amar : consciously yes , but subconsciously we would have left a clue behind for them to reach us.
Roli : now we should reach it before they reach us.
Pandey : but what mistake / clue did we leave behind ??
Amar : don’t know ....have to think ....
Pandey ( thinking mode on )
Amar : Roli , it has been a long day we have to return back to the Arsenal residence soon to avoid any suspicion on us. You leave first then after 15 mins I will also come.
Roli : ok sir.

At night in Roli’s apartment,
After a long tiring day , she laid on her bed to get some good sleep. But stress , and headache didn’t let her sleep. And moreover Siddhant’s thoughts keep on revolving in her mind. Reading his diary out of curiosity was her biggest mistake which she doesn’t regret. Because now can’t sleep without reading his diary , it has become an addiction.
Unable to control her urge , she took the diary and sat down in her L corner cushion and began to read.

Hey Diary !!
Sorry , sorry I know it has been a long time since I sat down to share my days with you. But what to do , my schedule was hectic.
My first project went really well , can you guess that Mrs. Gauri the perfectionist appreciated me and all my teammates in front of everyone. At first I was skeptical about her , but now she is my idol.
You know after that a man came and congratulated us for us success. And people around us were astonished to see him talk to us. I don’t know who was he , but he seems so happy for me. Maybe he was some higher official. He was really motivating.
Moreover mr. Diary , you know what tomorrow is Raksha Bandan .one of my favourite festive. It is a festival celebrated to strength the brother and sister bond. The first festival which I will celebrate alone away from my family. That thought itself makes me sad.
Every year , we brothers make lots of pranks and fun on this day specially. Till few years back we had only Jhanvi , our only victim to prank but after my brothers weddings I got three more sisters-in-laws who are not less than any sisters to me ,and are now included in our prank list.
And the next day they take their revenge by serving us the food which we hate the most and also make sure that we eat every morsel of food. To add ghee to fire , they sit infront of us relishing our favourite food slowly. For this Dadi , Mom , Dad , Chacha and Chachi also supports them. But in the end , they themselves gives us good food after an earful scolding. It will always be an memorable day. You know it feels great when you know that you have four sisters , to pamper , to support, scold , tease , and irritate.
Even though if we fight 24/7 but if they don’t talk to us even for a day , it makes our day gloomier. Therefore Even if I make mistakes I directly go and apologise irrespective of the damage caused by it , because I know the ultimate results. No matter they are the only creatures who stands by us and supports us even if we are at fault , after punishing us in their own way to make us realise our fault.
Now I am gonna miss them a lot.
But I am not going let the sadness overtake me.
Because “time and tide wait for none” and I don’t want to waste my time grieving over it.
That why before itself I have couriered the gifts for them for Raksha Bandhan individually. But what they don’t know is that in the first courier for them is my interesting prank materials - water spray which spray on opening the packet , scary joker jack in a box, fake lizards , and slime. Which I have personally selected for them.
And they will get their gifts in the second courier.
Guess what mr. diary I have already asked Prem and Shailu bhai to fix camera in the house to record their reactions.
It’s gonna be fun. Now I am eagerly waiting for their reactions. Can’t wait.

Roli after reading his diary laughed out loud , he was really such a good prankster.
As they say , curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back.
Long Gone was the stress and headache.
Reading his diary , she went back to her childhood - the carefree , pampered , fun and hyperactive Roli. The Roli who always pranks her parents , grandparents and her neighbourhood friends with Rohit her childhood best friend.For whom she always tie Rakhi every year , in short her brother from another mother.
After She left her house to join Police Academy she lost almost all her contacts with them. She is yearning to meet him and make up for her mistakes. But she is scared to face him. Because she is at fault, if she had informed him about her career decision she knows he would have stood by her and may also convince her parents to support her. But she being coward , scared that he might also oppose her ....went to join the police academy without informing anyone. And cut all her contacts with her family and friends.
In the path of achieving her goal ,she lost lot of her dear ones.
As Siddhant had mentioned, she knows that ultimately he will forgive her for her mistake. But her guilt is stopping her from moving forward.
Now she decided , no matter what within the next Raksha Bandhan she is gonna mend her relationship with him. Even it takes a lot of time. She will do it.
Thinking about it , she slowly drifted into deep slumber.
