Tejo's marriage with Jas

I have a question: is Tejo even divorced from Jas? Can you even get divorced within less than a month? If not, would that mean that Tejo and Fateh's marriage is not valid?

If I am not wrong... their marriage was fake. The pandit doing the ritual was fake. So Tejo was not really married to Jas. It was a scam.

Tejo’s marriage was a sham/scam..Tho Pandit was fake..Sindoor and Mangal Sutra were tied..Don’t know the legality of such things..Like whether they need to court to declare the marriage is void and get annulled.. Or get a divorce!!!

I always thought that it's the mantras that are important, it's the vows made to God. Isn't that the most important part of a marriage?

Not really..In itv sindoor and mangal sutra are!!! In real too many people elope and marry na..They simply tie the knot..Also not all believe in God and simply do court marriage by signing the document!!!

No lawyers in this forum..Or else they can give the input on legality of such marriages..

Tejo was not the first girl Jas married. He had married a lot of girls before Tejo. And that makes Tejo Jas marriage itself as invalid. So no question of divorce comes in. And that's why Tejo and Fateh's marriage is legally valid.

If Jass registered it then it was not fake. But he never registered it. Frauds dare not do such mistakes!

Jass got all property papers signed before Marraige and jwellary were grabbed by his mom So he never needed Marraige registration to get money .

Since Pandit was fake it is also a big reason to be fake. Sindoir mangalsutra are traditional things. They don't make Marraige legally valid when bride and family deny it and claim they have been tricked.

Biggest fact is that Jass already married Preeto's elder sister . So logically with Tejo it was second Marraige. Again illegal . Coz according to Indian Marraige law you cannot marry another woman before annuelling the the first Marraige.

So legally Jass Marraige is not valid neither socially.

With Fateh it's valid Marraige socially coz both families as well as bride and groom accepted it. It happened with all traditions . V irks a respected family and Tejo is living at V irks. So socially it is valid and both partners have right to claim it legal even if not registered.

But Fattu or Tejo really are hell bent to break it then one can simply say , it is not registered . Can go for second and register it. Then second Marraige will be legally valid .

That's how many hindu people do . First is often social marraige . Even if they fall out first wife often has nowhere to go coz neither are they socially independent nor can they leave kids plus elders and other family members are not able to give up . So first one has no legal rights still stays around and second comes with legal rights. Such relationships are quit common. In fact many popular actors, personalities have such marriages . It's sad but an ugly truth.

That's why to get your rights it's important you are educated and ready to fight back. Financial indepence is important but not a must as a housewife you are entitled for alimony anyways.

Tejo is new generation girl. Even though it's story of a village. Tejo is far more educated strong and on top of that she is financially independent. So making her doormat does not go well with story. So obviously Fatejo separation will happen.

As for Jass . He can come as villian but he has no legal or social rights as such on Tejo.

well legal marriage is only legal when its registered in the court house even in Punjab. So yeah mantras and all that matter but people get divorced don't they? no one reverses the mantras or they don't matter then.
