I don’t understand this at all, I am surprised actually. I have hardly known the actor and after watching Ghum, I watched him acting as Zakhir in Diya aur Baati him since I remember he was part of it. After the recent interview of Neil, I even watched his Karol Bagh too where he was very young. He seems to be in this progression for a long time now. Initially when I felt this way, I used to think that may be if thats the actor’s nature, I respect it but the more we see it, the more wierd it looks.

I used to ignore it but it is being too visible now and doesn’t make sense in the present storyline too.

I understand your frustration, it is quite annoying but we have always watched him as Virat and I don’t think I can see anyone else as Virat or anyone other than Ayesha as Sai too. I should quit watching the show if this how things are going to be. I have almost lost interest in the show.

@bolded .. it says both maintain but then we hold only one of them responsible without any proofs . If I think why only one of them is held responsible , one of them is engaged and other is not so we easily blame the one engaged saying he must be the troublesome one . Then how come ROKA is not an issue here ? Other than the fact Neil is engaged does anyone have any proofs that Neil is having problems .

Maybe the makers do this deliberately to build up for their eventual intimacy scenes. Some scenes look unnatural like precap. More than sairats distance, I have problems with virpakhi closeness. Distance should be maintained with both.If Virat doesn't want to come close to his wife whom he loves due to respecting her consent, how come he pays no attention when it comes to Pakhi and stands too close for comfort. Director, writer and cameramen at fault. From BTS and past scenes doesn't look like Neil or Ayesha have any issues.

Agree and disagree on this. There were many scenes in the past where I disliked the distance between SaiRat scenes and super close shots of Virat and p where there bodies are almost touching. Not just this in scenes with the trio or family scenes aswell Virat is always standing too close to p which is odd considering the relation they share. This I have noticed in multiple scenes like you mentioned and completely agree.

Yesterday I did not find issue since Sai was still mad at Virat and she got conscious even in the hospital when he got too close to her. Maybe he is trying to maintain a distance from Sai to avoid the discomfort.

But is this bad direction or the actor 🤔. Is he such a big actor that he can call the shots, I doubt it since this is 1st lead role in almost 11-13 years. Somewhere I feel the offscreen dynamics is impacting the scenes and the director maybe feeling awkward to keep telling them about where to stand or how close. Imagine telling Virat and Pakhi not to stand too close in every scene and the opposite for SaiRat. I feel it's the pH and directors who are responsible for this and not the actors. They need to call them out on where they are standing in scenes even if they feel awkward due to offscreen dynamics. This is definitely not the 1st show where the lead is dating someone other that the FL lead , do the onus lies on the director.

Hospital scene is just one of the scenes. It has been like this in many scenes and I have ignored many a times when someone said that it is due to storyline, when someone said they are showing organic progression or when they have said that it is poor direction or poor editing even though I wasn’t sure if those were the only reasons.

I agree Sai wants to maintain distance and I actually wanted her to stay at Pulkit’s place for a few days let alone having any close scene with Virat. But when they have decided to show it, they would still always show it with a distance whether or not there is any issues between Sairat from what I have noticed.

@bold I agree, could be the case.

About the last paragraph, I am not sure if the actor has control over it or not but he also doesn’t seem to take care of it on his own. He is an actor who enhances a scene through his own inputs and I would have only expected that he does that in scenes with Sai and not Pakhi.

Exactly, his first lead role and I am surprised with such reservations coming from the actor.

Ph and directors are also responsible for these.

@italics True and I am not sure if they do these and then the directors correct them or if they ensure it on their own. Directors also need to tell if the actor forgets but Neil has been too long in this industry and knows the story too, so one would have expected that he keeps in mind about these.

It's the little details in building a romantic relationship that are also lovely to watch. Those are lacking, which builds a 'kya ho raha hai' kind of feeling.

I'm not too happy about feeling disconnected because I love Sairat ..and I am a huge fan of angst filled love stories😆

Exactly how I feel 😀 except the angst filled love stories part which I haven’t given any thought 😃.

hi..fully agree.i was never in a mood to watch this show until i decided will give the shot for neil's sake as he played a cop role in "Diya aur bati hum".his acting was too good. but here.sorry to drag their personal life, but they should'nt have disclosed their relationship so soon. very bad timing.i always felt that aishwarya is very insecure. even before that we did have sairat lake scene.it was good ,but after their engagement ,i feel raita fail gaya..not at all able to connect to sairat. when he says his zimmedari,i go thinking,"yes yes tumhari zimmaeydari hey is show ko jaldi katam karnaey ka."🤪...this two couple are reminding me of another insecure couple, because of whom,we stopped getting onscreen scenes of onscreen jodi.😡.pathetic.

I think that even though the current track is such that Sairat are maintaining a little distance for different reasons some scenes are really poorly directed. Like when virat was helping Sai lay in bed that scene was normal, but when hes helping her walk it looks so awkward. No matter what the reason, agar aap kisi ko support karoge chalne keliye, you have to stand close to them. But in a tv show these guys sometimes "choreograph" everything too much that the realistic touch is missing! I mean i dunno if they are trying to make sure both are camera facing but i think that its stupid to make them walk funny just so they are camera facing....who knows what these guys think. i blame the directors n editors. I dont think its neil/ayesha but its the crew that needs to be careful. It cant be that they focus on one scene and screw up the next. Every scene needs to be well directed. Sometimes i feel like after every good scene the director/camera guy/dialogue writers/editor takes a break n do 2-3 scenes ainvayi with minimal effort....🙈🙄

Also they need to be careful which scenes to use BDs in. Especially when their BDs look nothing like the actor🙄 crucial scene hai, emotional scene hai, Sairat ka private scene hai toh it has to be done with them together, not shot separately/with BDs. Many birthday scenes would have been awesome if it hadnt been shot with BD. Again its the makers fault.

But i think there have been enough scenes where Neil/Ayesha as Sairat have shown their comfort. They have built chemistry over time- they react to each other beautifully. Both have really internalized Sai n Virat.

Its the makers who screw up sometimes n sometimes its the lack of originality n mindless copy/paste and literal bengali to hindi translation that ruins scenes.

It makes the viewing experience very disjointed.

For example in my views on yesterday's episode, I felt something off, something missing in the epi but at the same time I couldn't fault Sairat performance because I still feel connected n invested in their lovestory. I dont dislike the episodes but its often not seamless viewing. .many things annoy me in the middle of the scenes. Then there are some scenes which are so good that theres nothing I'd change about them....

Makers really need to step up and be consistent.

But if their director is not doing a good job, maybe Sairat should start looking at the monitor and start paying attention to how the scenes look or find someone on set who gives honest feedback. Neil is much more seasoned actor compared to ayesha toh technical things like lighting, camera angles, yeh sab ki knowledge toh unko hi zyaada hogi.

I'm not sure how much input actors can give or not- i often wonder whether actors feel like changing certain dialogues especially when they are poorly written.

When you play a character for few months, you would build them up in your head na...-figure out how they dress, talk, walk , their mamnerisms, etc...so when the makers go against the instinct of the actor- i wonder how much freedom they get.

In some bytes neil, ayesha mention rehearsing/reading sessions before shooting....so i assume they do get a chance to give some of their own input there....

Or maybe these actors dont really get into too much of the character. Bass jo bola voh kiya aur nikal gaye. I dunno how it is.
