I think that even though the current track is such that Sairat are maintaining a little distance for different reasons some scenes are really poorly directed. Like when virat was helping Sai lay in bed that scene was normal, but when hes helping her walk it looks so awkward. No matter what the reason, agar aap kisi ko support karoge chalne keliye, you have to stand close to them. But in a tv show these guys sometimes "choreograph" everything too much that the realistic touch is missing! I mean i dunno if they are trying to make sure both are camera facing but i think that its stupid to make them walk funny just so they are camera facing....who knows what these guys think. i blame the directors n editors. I dont think its neil/ayesha but its the crew that needs to be careful. It cant be that they focus on one scene and screw up the next. Every scene needs to be well directed. Sometimes i feel like after every good scene the director/camera guy/dialogue writers/editor takes a break n do 2-3 scenes ainvayi with minimal effort....🙈🙄
Also they need to be careful which scenes to use BDs in. Especially when their BDs look nothing like the actor🙄 crucial scene hai, emotional scene hai, Sairat ka private scene hai toh it has to be done with them together, not shot separately/with BDs. Many birthday scenes would have been awesome if it hadnt been shot with BD. Again its the makers fault.
But i think there have been enough scenes where Neil/Ayesha as Sairat have shown their comfort. They have built chemistry over time- they react to each other beautifully. Both have really internalized Sai n Virat.
Its the makers who screw up sometimes n sometimes its the lack of originality n mindless copy/paste and literal bengali to hindi translation that ruins scenes.
It makes the viewing experience very disjointed.
For example in my views on yesterday's episode, I felt something off, something missing in the epi but at the same time I couldn't fault Sairat performance because I still feel connected n invested in their lovestory. I dont dislike the episodes but its often not seamless viewing. .many things annoy me in the middle of the scenes. Then there are some scenes which are so good that theres nothing I'd change about them....
Makers really need to step up and be consistent.
But if their director is not doing a good job, maybe Sairat should start looking at the monitor and start paying attention to how the scenes look or find someone on set who gives honest feedback. Neil is much more seasoned actor compared to ayesha toh technical things like lighting, camera angles, yeh sab ki knowledge toh unko hi zyaada hogi.
I'm not sure how much input actors can give or not- i often wonder whether actors feel like changing certain dialogues especially when they are poorly written.
When you play a character for few months, you would build them up in your head na...-figure out how they dress, talk, walk , their mamnerisms, etc...so when the makers go against the instinct of the actor- i wonder how much freedom they get.
In some bytes neil, ayesha mention rehearsing/reading sessions before shooting....so i assume they do get a chance to give some of their own input there....
Or maybe these actors dont really get into too much of the character. Bass jo bola voh kiya aur nikal gaye. I dunno how it is.
