At least should have used wheel chair given Sai's physical condition đ€ą
Given that they don't want to show that physical closeness atleast show better logic...đ

About your point of social distancing, I couldnât agree more. While shouting at Pakhi, Birat was so close to her, even the circling around her was in close proximity, but supporting his wife, the one he LOVES, after a huge accident and when she couldnât stand was from far. It looked so weird. Even in precipitation where he brings Sai home, the support looked so weird. In previous episodes while wiping Saiâs tears he clearly doesnât touch her and itâs visible.
I have no issue with Neilâs and Aishwaryaâs Roka and I know you donât have it either. You have always been supportive of them and your views have been very unbiased and respectful. But I will say you are brave to make this topic because anytime we bring this up itâs because we are against the roka. Obvious things have to be blind sided in order to not be called so.
Also, there are most interviews of the vamp and the ML in one frame. ITV usually has ML and FL promoting the show. Here ML and the Vamp give interviews in one frame and they have early on bashed Sai together where as Pakhi is still justified (in which world that would be?) These are clear examples of real effecting reel and not by the audience, but the actors.
Actors have worked together with their exes and their current spouses and it looks natural. Hrithik, Aishwarya and Abhishek worked in dhoom and the couple played ML and vamp and the vamp had sizzling chemistry with Hrithikâs character, there was no issue. Roka was done there too. Hope the PH does something about it especially if itâs not deliberate from the actorsâs side because such poor quality scenes damage the show. It will effect all of them ultimately if not right away.
Lakshmi is not someone who have had issues with Roka...infact I remember we supported the roka when a lot of forum member were disappointed....this has nothing to do with ROKA.. This is about the very much visible uncomfort.. And it's irritating...
Just want to say
Neil is not responsible for some scenes showing social distance. He always is so forthcoming in romantic scenes and did justice. Hyderabad scenes are a proof for this..they both are so intimate and close in most of the scenes. Ladoo scene,Pakhi mother anniversary scenes, hug, kiss attempts all these are done in close proximity. After they arrived at Mumbai the tracks did not demand such closeness and bad editing and direction also effected but again college function dances are done so well with both of them oozing chemistry in every song. They were choreographed so well. Neilsha always looked comfortable and I donât think any external factor could effect their performance. ( in romantic scenes)
How could we forget Holi scenes? They are the ultimate.
The confrontation after college function was shot so well and they did not maintain social distance at all.
About holding Sai while bringing her from hospital,I feel Virat is hurt when she did not take his hand and chose Pulkitâs instead. He is apprehensive of touching her without her consent. So I donât mind .
Actually these two are so compatible that they donât need physical touch at all to send couple vibes . In the hospital, the way they just let their eyes speak in hamari Adhuri Kahani proves the point. Very rarely we come across such couples .
Having said that it will be icing on the cake if the makers show more intimate scenes from now onwards since their real married life is going to start hopefully., Eagerly waiting for honeymoon promo to make a statement that Sairat rock as always.
I would be most happy to be proved wrong about this social distancing. When there are romantic scenes written, they are performed and executed brilliantly. It's the little details in building a romantic relationship that are also lovely to watch. Those are lacking, which builds a 'kya ho raha hai' kind of feeling.
I'm not too happy about feeling disconnected because I love Sairat ..and I am a huge fan of angst filled love storiesđ
I agree with this .. they both maintain too big a gap for intimacy scenes .. if Neil jas such a problem enacting close scenes with ayesha .. then he should quit the show
I don't think this is Neil's last show and same goes for Ayesha.
This obvious distance is quite visible now a days. As a result fans are not even excited for the upcoming honeymoon tracks.
Fans are mostly assuming either body double or their will be a foot distance between them.

I accept with each and every point laksh, I am not gone say anything more, because I am actually fed up, yesterday episode mei that walk, instead of that they could of show sai in wheelchair, Kya tha vo.... Even for stranger we would be closer than that in that condition. Who should I blame I really couldn't understand.... If direction is like that why actors are not correcting it, will director say each and every point like even how to walk?
If actors are at fault how the hell is director ignoring it...
This is the first show for which I got addicted after long time , joined IF and even wrote analysis but chi this is worst itv show ever, I seriously lost interest, not even one team is doing it's work properly editing, direction, costumes ,even actors. .. till yesterday even if I. Crib I used to wait for sairat scenes but from today I really wish no sairat scenes instead of these weird social distancing scenes, because it no more look organic , it looks weird, now seriously they don't look in love atleast to me when they touch eachother, jab tak touching nahi hothi social distancing mei, they look so good but ek baath paas ane ko boldho, they do the worst job ever....
Finally each and every person is at equally fault in that team and seriously don't deserve to be in top 2 position, definitely not.
Nice to see you back on IF, Laksh.
Iâm sorry, but I have to disagree with much of what you are saying here.
When have Pulkit and Ajinkya been closer to Sai than Virat has been?
Ajinkya and Sai have barely had any scenes together⊠and if you look at the dance sequence, then it is quite clear that Neil and Ayesha are extremely comfortable together. Neilâs hands are on Ayeshaâs bare waist, they are very close in terms of their faces, and it is evident that he is leading her, helping her keep up with the steps. When you compare this to the actor who plays Ajinkya and Ayesha, his hands are placed on top of her outfit, there is more distance between their bodies, and the performance appears to be stiffer.
If you are referencing Pulkitâs proximity to Sai in the hospital vs. Viratâs proximity, I think we have to bare in mind the circumstances that they are in. They have had a massive fight, and Virat knows how deeply he has hurt Sai. He knows that she is in no state to forgive him right now, even though he is desperately trying to convince her. In fact, he was hesitant to even ask her how she is doing in the morning when he brought the coconut water. He apologized to her for even entering the room after helping her lay back down. He is extremely respectful of her boundaries, and he does not want to be forceful with her. He is on edge. All of these things have been portrayed, in my opinion, perfectly. How can we expect him to go to Sai, kiss her forehead, wipe her tears, sit on her bed, etc., etc. under these circumstances? In terms of how he grabbed Saiâs hands from Pulkit, he was deeply hurt that Sai chose Pulkit instead of him. He thinks that Sai does not want to be with him anymore, he and is scared that her decision is final this time. So, why would he grab her any more closely? Again, he is shown to be respecting her decision. Despite all of this, their feelings for each other were still pouring out onto the screen. Sometimes physical touch is not needed in order to get emotions across⊠and throughout this entire sequence, physical touch would actually not even make sense. As they are walking out of the hospital room, look at the intensity with which he is staring at her. His eyes cannot even dare to look away, because he is pouring her in entirely.
I think it is a huge assumption to say that Neil is not comfortable doing close scenes with Ayesha, and to me, it is disrespectful to say this about him. He is a veteran actor who has been in the industry for nearly a decade, if not more. You mention his fiancé and you say that you have had no problem with their offscreen relationship unless it leads to any kind of compromise onscreen. To this, it makes it seem as if you think that his offscreen relationship is affecting his onscreen acting. I think that this is a really unfair accusation. I cannot help but think that if Aish and Neil were not together in real life, no one would be bringing up these issues in reel life. The entire reason why people compare his proximity to Aish and Ayesha in scenes seems to be because they think he is more comfortable with his offscreen fiancé than his onscreen FL. But, it is quite clear that Neil is comfortable doing romance scenes with Ayesha, because we have seen them and we have fawned over them. But, there is a time and place for such scenes, and the current track is not it.
You say that the SaiRat scenes have been cut to a few seconds. This is entirely the fault of the editors. The way in which scenes are filmed, it is impossible for them to film a 10 second hug. It needs to go longer, so that the editors have a choice in what they want to use. It is on them to decide how long to make the hug⊠it is not Neilâs choice if he wants to hug Ayesha for 10 seconds or 1 minute or longer. He will do what the director tells him to do. If you watch some of the BTS whether it be in Yaminiâs blog or SBS, you will often hear the directors telling actors where to stand⊠to move closer, or the move further. Hence, all of the distancing stuff you are bringing up⊠that is on the director to place the actors accordingly to the script.
I think the main problem you are pointing out is inconsistency in direction and editing. With the Pakhi scenes, there are certain confrontations where Neil, to some, appears too close to comfort. But, again, this is a direction issue. If the director thinks that Neil is going too close, that is his job to tell him to move further. I saw no problem in the bedroom confrontation scene. When someone is riled up, they tend to move in closer to the person to express their anger. Especially someone who is so emotional like Virat. People always bring up the hand holding scene before Saiâs bday, but again, that was what the writers had put into the script. So, how is that Neilâs fault?
Iâm sorry if Iâm rambling here, but I really do think that all of these accusations towards Neil are quite unfair.
Editing- one last thing I forgot to add. I was also frustrated by the body doubles during the birthday sequence. But, those body doubles were being used in all of the scenes, not just the "intimate" SaiRat scenes. And, Ayesha's body double was also being used. Again, this is not Neil's fault. The makers should know which scenes to film with the leads, and which scenes it is okay to use body doubles for. It makes no sense to say that Neil was uncomfortable with that hug and wiping her tears, because they have done way closer and more intimate scenes together, without body doubles. Also, I just want to point out that body doubles are VERY common on ITV, and our show actually uses them relatively less when compared to certain other, super-hit shows. Yes, the fact that the body doubles look nothing like the actors, is another thing... but again, this is sloppiness on the part of the makers and nothing else...
Just my POV!

see this yaar, his Expressions and little additions make virat best and make us feel for virat even in tracks like these, then why can't we can expect proximity and passionate scenes from this kind of actor even if director didn't asked him too... I don't think director asked Neil to get teared eyes or single tear rolling down his cheeks which made scene more emotional... Then why can't we expect little more effort from Neil in proximity scenes, emotional scenes mei hum jithna connect hojathe hai, vuthnahi disconnect hojathe hai seeing that distance between them the very next min, Ayesha is great actress not as good as Neil ( no one can deny this) but I have more expectations from neil...we generally don't get romantic scenes completely because of vankara ki dhaya đĄđĄ but jo CHOTI scenes miltha hai like making sai walk or attending her wound or little more additions which can be done by both actors are also not happening and that's disappointed
May be that's why we feel more disappointed, I am sure director , cvs , camera are responsible for spoiling sairat scenes but keeping all that a side also, actors too disappointed.... This is nothing related to offscreen stuff guys... This is only related to actor talent and fan disappointment.... that's it...

Thanks for the tag, Lakshmi. I echo all of your thoughts. I have just responded to this topic in my own post as well expressing some similar ideas.
