EPILOGUE
Anokhi flickered her lashes, as her toes curled upon a white satin bedsheet. The rays of the early morning dawned upon her, filling the entire room with brightness.
She instantly smiled, as she took in the jasmine aroma spread all over the room. She opened her eyes clearly now, and found a huge body pressed onto her.
She giggled as she took in the sight of the bare body entwined within hers, sleeping soundly. She ruffled the hair of this man sweetly, and cuddled him.
Her palms constantly moved over his back, trailing up to his locks at regular intervals. She gave the widest smile possible, when he stirred in his slumber and pulled her closer.
Her rosy cheekbones lit up again, as she whispered in his ears.
"Happy anniversary Shaurya."
It was their first marriage anniversary, a reminder to how they had cherished their togetherness every single moment since they got married.
At that moment, Shaurya opened his eyes slightly, and found the love of his life smiling at him. He felt awake now, as soon as he saw her lying beneath him.
He rolled over to his side, and engulfed her in his arms.
"Happy anniversary wifey." He mumbled softly in a sleepy voice, grazing the shell of her ears, and tightening his arms around his waist.
She blushed and rubbed her nose with his, as he pricked her delicate ample cheeks with his bearded ones. His heart felt a tug seeing her smiling in his embrace.
He loved that smile on her face.
He loved that glint in her eyes.
He loved the fact that she was his.
They say you fall in love only once, But that was not true,
For he fell in love with her everyday.
He enveloped her fingers with his and placed her hand directly above his heart, making her feel his throbbing beats.
She observed his actions curiously, and raised her brow when he smiled at her.
"What happened?"
"Can you feel the heartbeats?"
"Yes, is something wrong?"
She became concerned suddenly. He chuckled at her reaction and snuggled into her.
"Can you hear what they are trying to say?"
"Your beats? What would they say, Shaurya?"
"They are trying to convey that every part of me belongs to you."
Her frowned brows relaxed immediately and her lips curved up in a smile, making him smile too.
Her fingers moved forward to caress his jawline, while the other hand remained settled with his upon his heart. He encircled his arm around her, and placed a kiss at the corner of her lips.
"I love you." She purred near his ear, and looked straight into his eyes.
"I love you Anokhi." He replied back instantly, feeling the same bliss that would tingle through his body, whenever she would announce her love to him.
He moved his face forwards, decreasing the gap between their faces slowly. His hand began fondling her waist, as he took a look of her face.
She had her lids closed, ready for what was to come next. Her petals were parted apart, color-coordinating with her cheeks.
He moved closer and their breaths mingled, before he took her lips in his.
They stroked their lips to and fro, savoring each other. He nipped her lower lip, as his hands began running excitedly on her every part of her.
Sparks ran down their bodies, as their tongues devoured every bit of their mouths. Anokhi tugged her husband closer to her, and ran her palms frantically in his locks.
When their lips seperated, he gazed at her flushed state. Her dark orbs twinkled with desire, as he reversed their positions and rolled on top of her. He began placing feather light kisses all over her face, making her smile.
Before he could proceed further, she pushed his chest away with her palms.
"What?" He asked, annoyed by the sudden interruption.
"As it is our first anniversary, Badi Ma has organised a puja in the house. We have to get ready for it." She tried to hide the smile that was forcing it's way on her face, when she saw his bothered state.
"Why can't we have some fun, like we did last night?" He winked and tried to persuade her.
"Sorry, getting late. You should get up too."
"This is not fair Mrs Sabherwal!"
"Everything is fair in love, Mr. Sabherwal!"
She laughed and rushed towards the washroom covered in the duvet, while he shook his head and joined her laughter.

Shaurya stepped out of the bathroom in a silk kurta payjama, and found Anokhi engrossed in draping a sequin pastel saree on her gorgeous self.
Shs glanced back in the mirror, and found her husband gawking at her, which was quite a usual thing for her.
"Kya dekhte ho?"
She asked, chuckling.
"Soorat tumhari."
The immediate reply came.
"Kya chahte ho?"
She joined him in.
"Chahat tumhari"
He started moving towards her.
"Naa hum jo kehdein?"
She questioned playfully.
"Keh na sakogi"
He grabbed her by her waist and buried himself in her neck.
"Lagti nahi theek niyat tumhari."
She heartily laughed and patted his cheeks.
"Let's go downstairs." She announced while placing the last pin on her shoulder.
"Is it necessary?" He still wasn't ready to loosen his hold.
"Yes Shaurya! Come on." She placed her hand in his, as they made their way downstairs.

Shaurya and Anokhi sat in the auspicious corner of the house, as they thanked the almighty for bestwoing his warmth upon them in this one year of matrimony.
Yes, There were hurdles,
There was hesitancy,
There were fights,
There was seperation,
But most importantly, there was love.
Just pure love, that made them overcome the difficult times, and become one.
They stole a glance of each other as they prayed for a life time together, and smiled thinking about how far they have come, all because of nothing but love.
After the puja was done, the big family sat down together, to watch the wedding video of Shaurya and Anokhi. Constant bickerings and guffawing filled in the hall in no time, making the room lively in true sense.

After a hectic yet alluring day, Shaurya stepped inside his room, only to find it adorned with white lights and scented flowers. He smiled to himself, because he very well knew the person who could've done this.
He took more steps and observed his and Anokhi's pictures pinned upon the cupboard, aligned with the fairy lights.
He laughed inwardly, as he took notice of the picture where he was presenting a trophie to her, much before they had fallen for each other.
In the other one, she had her hands wrapped around his neck and was and was smudging her red lipstick on his cheek.
And one at the corner, where they were taking seven rounds around the holy fire with their entwined hands, exactly an year ago.
He was thrown back down the memory lane, lost in recalling how the dynamics in their relationship changed with time.
A familiar pair of hands wrapped around his waist, breaking his trance. He smiled wider, and turned around to face the love of his life.
She threw her hands around his neck, when he pulled her closer by her waist.
"Thankyou." He muttered softly, while bending down and joining his nose with hers.
"For this..?"
"For everything."
She hugged him in response.
"Thankyou too. For everything. Now go and change."
"Alright wifey!"
She changed into her nightwear and was adjusting her straps when she saw him emerging out in his trousers, shirtless.
She made her way towards him, and placed her hands on his chest, stopping him midway.
He looked at her.
"So, do you wanna have fun now?" She asked in a rather coquettish manner, while trailing her senuous finger down his abs.
He smirked and lifted her up in his arms, only to throw her in the bed.
