What I don’t understand is them making the same mistake over and over. Shows that are not toxic simply don’t work for ITV. So just go for what works. Why bring in these unique concepts that won’t get high trp no matter what? It’s wasting the effort of the team, the time invested by fans, building new sets, and all the cost that goes into launching a brand new show. I feel like they repeat this cycle every few months. Why pick up shows that require a certain level of risk if they are not willing to give it time? Risky investments requires time before ROI can even be considered. I understand the overall business concept and discussion but I don’t think these channels are wise in the long run. Neither are they able to provide quality shows nor are they making smart business choices. The entire format needs a complete evaluation. They need to start from scratch.

That’s what is called creative liberty. The makers are actually creative people who would want to experiment with different formats of content time and again. Maybe one day they will see a positive change. That’s what they can hope for for sure.
