This movie is way too old and stupid for me to remember all of it so thank-you for reminding me. Even at my young age, I hated this movie and was disturbed by it.

See this goes to my point on how Rani could have moved to another city, state or country if marrying was such an issue. She wanted to get married right? Ideally, they should have shown her becoming stronger, moving on, and making a life for herself then one day a man walks into her life. She tells him about her trauma but he still accepts her.

This reminds me off Rani's other effed up movie "Mehndi," that shit pissed me off to no end and I was only a child!

This movie remade in bazillion languages ex Tamil Telugu. So, people really connects with the protagonists and story.

The naivety and sacrifice really made the protagonist a hero in others perspective. Not me. I can accept flawed people but not stupid people.

The fantasy that self harm is the way to prove love is really popular. I mean Devdas, Kabir Singh.

But in this case the man loves the woman more than himself. He can't forgive himself after hurting her. He didn't tell the truth sooner also because he don't want to hurt her. This is stupid but so is he.

The woman loves herself more than him too. She totally appreciates that he loves her more than himself. I mean if my man self harm for me or anyone or anything I would recommend a good therapist for him. Here, she accepts him and totally oblivious to his stupidity.

In the end, they are match made in heaven.
