Twinkle always knew what a cheater Akshay was but she didn't care. She thought he was hot and a trophy for her plus she could have attractive kids and stability through him and quit her job that she never wanted anyway. Not everyone cares about fidelity. She grew up that way with her dad always with various women. Her mom had a long time affair with a married Sunny Deol.

Twinkle even wrote a column in a newspaper praising Amelia Earhart for having an open marriage and how great that was. I think she has the same thing and is happy with it.

This is probably one of the best responses to my most. Great analysis! It never struck me, that she probably wasn't moved by the infidel score probability with Akshay, as she's seen it in her own family with EMAs. There's also a possibility as someone mentioned above, that she wanted to tame the bad boy.😆Twinkle seems like one of those typical bossy / persuasive Madames.. She even shuts KJo up in talk shows they've done together.

Yes, that's a good point too! Akshay definitely carved himself out in the industry, while KJo kinda inherited it.

I can't remember the exact interview but I think it was the interview during Twinkles book launch Mrs.Funnybones where she kinda took a dig at Karan saying she is the only women he loved because her testosterone is nearly the same as a mans and she had a mustache (lady mustache) making her look manly which he found attractive. As someone who is a close friend of his, I think Karans homosexuality has always been very obvious especially to her. I mean, if the audience can catch on, I'm sure she was aware.

Wow, didn't look at it that way. True, he probably saw her as less feminine and more of a buddy that could challenge him, take him down with words / intellect and he may have found that sexy. Plus yes, her mustache thing. So he was never turned on by gentler or the more feminine women, but liked someone that was a little more controlling and challenging towards him, or appeared that way.

Given a choice between Akshay and Kjo, I would go for Akshay too.. he was good looking, atheletic, charming, a great actor, self made, a good chef, popular what else you want? Infidelity probably was never an issue for her she had seen it in her family as well, that's why they're still married.. besides his roving eye, Akshay seems like a really good person, hardworking as well..

I am not. I came across an article when Ae Dil Hai Mushqil was about to release, where Karan talks about the storyline of the film being 'somewhat' inspired to the happenings in his life. I am not sure the exact wordings, but he was quoted (somewhere along the lines of) saying that, he saw the love of his life getting married to someone else. The article mentioned that it was Twinkle he was talking about. He wasn't 12 then.

In the KWK session with Akshay, the latter quizzes Karan and asks him, that if he wanted to get married to any celeb wife, also giving him a few choices, Karan again replied unflinchingly saying, 'Tina. She was the love of my life'. He didn't mention her as just a crush here again. And he almost said it in a tone, as if Akshay had stolen her away from him lol.

I don't know if I am overthinking, but I could see Karan giving Twinkle those looks like he is still into her, when he was interview her during her book launch, and Twinkle distracting himself and her.

Him choosing only Twinkle and making the role of Tina in Kuch Kuch for just Twinkle and also mentioning, that he was very hurt when Twinkle refused it outright etc indicates he had feelings for her, for quite a long time and still to this day looks at her, like the one that got away.

I am sorry, Karan has NEVER said that the wedding was Twinkle's, that was the journalist's interpretation. Possibly because people can't conceive of true love in a non-heteronormative sense. The fact that KJo constantly says that Twinkle was the "only girl" he has ever loved (emphasis on girl) says it all. And even Twinkle said he only had a crush on her because she had a moustache in school. So if you are choosing to ignore all that, you are beoynd help.
