Why did Twinkle marry Akshay and not Karan?

I used to always be curious about that.. Karan Johar claims Twinkle is the only woman, he ever loved. They were childhood friends, studied together and KJo comes from a rich and well known family in the industry, because of his dad Yash Johar.

Twinkle seems like a very practical, grounded woman. I used to wonder, what made her choose Akshay Kumar, who was practically a newcomer in the Industry then.. didn't even hail from Mumbai and had some controversial affairs with Raveena, Shilpa etc. Versus Karan who had perhaps a bit of a cleaner slate then and could have proven to be more reliable..

Just asking, cause in that time if she weighed her options, I wonder what made Akshay stand out better to her, than Karan?

I thought he became gay after he lost Twinkle. He actually liked her and wanted to marry her. Twinkle was the only woman he was in love with and nobody else cut it for him after that. Akshay looks better (it's not a dig)

He was a self-confident casanova while Karan was still uncomfortable in his own skin. It's no surprise she found Akshay more appealing.

She might appear grounded now but maybe in her twenties she was dazzled by Akshay's charm and charisma.

Why would she marry him, I mean, look at him!

She didn't literally ruin him for all women so he became gay. That's not how that works. 😆

One can love or even be in love with someone romantically but not sexually attracted. (happens in heterosexual relationships as well). That may have been enough for Karan but not for Twinkle even if in all other ways he'd have been a better life partner.

You don't become gay or straight because of a heart break.....it is the way you are.....maybe Karan didn't realize it at that time but Twinkle did.....so they didn't marry...good for them...otherwise their married life would have been a mess and they probably would have been divorced by now.

But the fact here maybe, he's not gay entirely. He's probably opened up and identified his preference to being Bisexual. I don't know if he'd have explored that side of him if Twinkle was a part of his life, as he wanted her to be.

Nothing about Karan strikes me as hetero or bisexual. I think he's as gay as gay can be. Probabably was in the closet for a long time but Twinkle may have picked up on it

Twinkle was probably Stacy of her time.

Why she would be interested in below average looking noob,. She probably was going out with all the chads.
