Hello forumwasis,
I don't know how many people from last seasons are active here now. But well, I am one of the old fan of this show who used to be active back when the show was on-air. I used to be in college when this show went on-air & now, I am a working woman when this show has come again with the same essence for which it is known & is still remembered.
So, hello again. There are some shows that are very close to my heart & KRPKAB is one of them. I still remember when I was mad about Season 1 ending & the excitement when they came up with Season 2 after few months. It's just pure nostalgia hitting. This is one show, I keep coming back to, only because of the characters & how real they are.
There are very less shows on Indian TV, where the case has come together for a show after such long interval only to re-create the same old magic. The actors meanwhile have played multitude of characters, yet they managed to maintain the chemistry as if it's their first time doing the show. It's just unreal.
After watching this episode, it didn't feel like I was watching this show after years. It felt like a continuation of the same old Devakshi & their family. Nothing has changed. The chemistry, the emotions, the act, everything is just perfect. I love how the chemistry between the actors is just so natural. It's gravitating to another level. Very less shows worldwide are able to recreate same kind of magic, even when actors are same.
Now coming to the analysis of the episode-
I like how makers have handled the plot-holes quite nicely. Since they couldn't retain the actress who played Sona's mother, she is shown to be dead. So far, it just the Dixit family & I am sure rest of the cast will be gradually shown since most of them have been retained for this season.
Coming to Devakshi, it's their usual self. Sometimes, it feels like they are actually married, because it's doesn't seem that there has been a break in this show. The essence has been kept intact, even after both the actors having done other shows during this break.
And I appreciate how the whole mysterious baby-swap has been incorporated decently. Even though, I find it interesting (and creepy) that the guy who swapped the babies, actually kept a track-record of Sonakshi's life for all of these years, how he had Dev's personal number, only to use it the times of crisis like this.
Back to Devakshi's life, I understand the distance between Devakshi. It's not unrealistic. I have seen couples in real life hit the plateau within few years of marriage, especially after having children, in the fast paced world as we live in with all the job, family & everything.
I like how the foundation for the conflict has been kept on a revelation as big as this. It's natural for it to shake everything, the Dixit family has ever known. Their lives would turn upside down with all the emotional upheaval & honestly, it's not an easy conflict. To know that the child you thought was yours was not related to you by blood & there is another child with whom you have no emotional connect but is related to you by blood. It will again bring the character's guilt of messing things up years ago, which resulted in all the conflicts that they faced later.
The bonds will change, the tug of wars, the insecurity & the conflicts that will arise naturally out of all of these & thus we know, that it's dark season. Dark in sense of conflicts & emotional upheaval. It will indeed be a tiresome watch because the emotions are just too heavy in this one, unlike season 1 & season 2.
I don't know for how long will I be able to catch up with this season & with all the darkness this season has. Because honestly, despite all of its goodness, it will be pure drama with less fun quotient because they have touched a very conflicting theme for this season. The entire season revolved around the conflict. But hopefully, for a refreshing Devakshi & a whole new-theme for this Color of Love, I may stick around on & off.
So, what's your views on Day 1 of S3? How did you feel about the show after years?
