Hrithik turns down Adi Chopra
Hrithik Roshan turned down Aditya Chopra's offer for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. It seems the actor had date problems as his home production, Kites, and Adi's film had overlapping schedules.
Aditya plans to take Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi on the floors on May 16th soon after SRK is free from his Paanchvi Pass filming as well as the IPL. The film is expected to hit theatres on December 12. Hrithik's Kites on the other hand begins filming in the US from July onwards.
"Hrithik looks at various scripts and obviously he can't do all the films. This year has been very busy with him. First it was his injury that kept him out, now Kites and then he is also expecting a baby this year so he needs to ensure he takes on those projects that allowed him to be here at the time of Suzanne's delivery," said the source.
And while logistics might be an issue one can't help but wonder if the bold storyline of Adi's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi may not have helped matters either. Chopra's film which stars SRK in the lead shows him play a recluse NRI who returns to Punjab and finds himself attached to a much younger village girl.
Kites, on the other hand, is more up Hrithik's alley with it being international love story where Hrithik and his leading lady, Hollywood actress Barbara Mori, find themselves in trouble and despite not being able to communicate to one another they fall in love with each other.
