Exactly. They infact dont need any drama bas subtlety aur planned script se aagey bade. Tum Anupama ko hi dekhlo without any high voltage drama its getting 4+. Udaariyaan agar 8 pm pe hota toh i am sure ab tak Ghum ki trp aadhi hoti. Nowadays audience like subtlety in stories.

This is the reason why bengalis are very particular about Kaal raatri. Although nowadays husband wife doesnt care about it much but still try to follow the ritual.

I think hamara yaha Assamese mein bhi yeh kaal ratri hota hai aur yeh muh dekhayi and all bilkul nahi hota hai.Ek naam kirtan ritual hota hai jaha par kuch auratein gaati hai for bhagwan yeh naam hone ka baad he husband-wife can sleep together.Sirf Shaadi ki reception hoti hai no muh dekhayi and all ghar yaa vivah bhavan mein 1 day yaa 2 days after marriage👍🏼.
