She can have her own boutique. What we know about Pallavi is her love for saree designing and kathak. She can design sarees and take up orders from people. To start an outlet immediately won’t be feasible as initially investment is needed like shop deposit, rent, setup, raw material etc. So ya she can start with online orders and get work through word of mouth.

Yes, her financial independence is definitely something that they should touch upon. It is these small things that lead to an equal marriage. I am not saying she needs to be a millionaire but she sees herself as the daughter of Deshmukhs and also an earning member of that family, so she needs to have a financial stability. I believe she wouldn't have needed to borrow straight 10 L had she not paid the property tax for the D house (wasn't that in lakhs too, or is it my midnight brain?)
