There was a scene today which made me feel uncomfortable, (not in a bad way but kind of like in a serious way), it was Kadam watchman uncle asking Pallavi for 10 lakh rupees... The moment he said this, I felt lo here we go again.. From where she will get this money, ladki ne kaam dhandha toh chhod hi diya hai aajkal... And I was intrigued and was already feeling lowkey embarrassed for her..
So she approaches Raghav and I am like please please don't ask.. I don't know why but it was uncomfortable for me.. So she says she will return back the money, ek baar ke liye udhaar de do... And Raghav denies on the pretense of not having cash with him... I got his reasons.. But I was looking for Pallavi's reactions.. How does she feel about it? She said she will manage and didn't really think much about it....It was dealt in a cool manner, but it left an unpleasant taste in my mouth... That scene was good, and I am glad it was shown...And I am even more glad Amma caught on to that and decided to help Pallavi in her own way and in such candid manner... Amma Rao you have my heart once again... Geeta ji is doing her job so well...
Now coming back to the topic, and this is purely from Pallavi's perspective, I have always felt she should continue to pursue what she wants and should be independent if at all someday she is left alone again.... I don't know why, maybe I have seen enough of her miseries, maybe I myself don't believe in leaving your dreams for family and marriage, and I always believe you should be on your own in your marriage even in today's age, otherwise such small small moments can be hurtful for your self respect... It's not related to Raghav at all.. He can be a great husband, a great understanding partner and all... But that having something of your own is all I wish for Pallavi.. And I am glad she was able to arrange finally but I wish more for her so that she doesn't have to come to this point again.. Her self respect in this regard has my heart, and I hope they never compromise on that. She was so straight forward and unbelievably non problematic and trusting in this matter, I was awwed. But somewhere down the line, they need to address this matter seriously..
Overall this was handled well, a poignant intriguing scene and kept me wondering about this aspect of Pallavi's life.. Did anyone else felt similarly or was I thinking too much on Pallavi's behalf? 😆😆
