Innocent souls reeling in pain

Sumbul and Kiran Khoje are just such phenomenal actors 👏👏

Log nuances ki baat karte hain…well these two were a study in how to portray nuances yesterday….I’m always blown away by the dignity with which Imlie and Mithi’s pain is expressed. They were both reeling over terrible shocks yesterday but there was still such a sense of maasoomiyat in both of them.

The bit where both of them were holding hands as they faced all the venom coming from AC, in that moment they looked more like twin sisters than mother - daughter 😆….it’s just an amazing piece of casting with these two…you can actually believe they are related cuz chehre ke haav bhaav bhi milte hain. I was really touched while watching that bit. Both of them holding on to each other, trying to anchor each other in the pain they were facing. Imlie turning to her Amma in disbelief ki yeh sab kya bol rahe hain and her Amma repeating, “Imaliya Imaliya” over and over again through her tears, trying to reassure her Imaliya even as she felt so off balance herself.

AC talked her usual crap, derided everyone blah blah. But these two ladies just stole the show with the dignity in their acting👏👏….itna convoluted reveal tha, such a mess to deal with. But what anchored it was these two maasoom women dealing with such harsh accusations being thrown at them. You could feel the dignity in that pain - that is why it was so powerful. Forced bechaargi nahin thi.

Poor Mithi - her life’s one greatest regret still continuing to haunt her. The way she was trying to apologize to AC that I didn’t know Dev was married either and I’ve also been betrayed. You could really feel for her….that duality in both mom and daughter ki dil itne maasoom hain par dono shernis bhi ban jaati hain if someone threatens the ones they love. Again, it’s kudos to both these actresses that they bring out that quality so well 👏.

Another powerful bit was the way Imlie was holding on tightly to her Mom’s hand when Dev approached her but then the way she looked at him before slowly letting go of her mom’s hand and running away from there. It’s a bit that has to be watched for the power in Sumbul’s acting 👏….she just took it to another level. What a talent 👏….without a single word, she conveyed all of Imlie’s emotions there.

So SO thankful that Adi was allowed to run after his Jhalli to console her and aur kisi ko nahin ghusaya 🙏😂….aaj kal itna expect karna bhi tall order lagta hai waise toh jo haal karte hain makers 😆.

Imlie’s breakdown near the steps in the rain was another fine piece of acting from ST👏👏. Especially the way she dragged herself up to sit on the stair. You could just feel the weariness and despair in her body language. And then all her worst fears haunting her about how she will be berated and blamed by everyone….the way she then started shaking her head in despair that it’s not her fault, it’s not her mom’s fault….they didn’t do anything. Aww your heart really goes out to this innocent soul who is yet again feeling caught in a quagmire not of her making….

For now, she seemed to have turned to Adi for support in her anguish over yeh sab kya hai - how can this really be that Malini is her actual badi behen. Lol….Adi also consoled her itne pyar se…taking the blame on himself for not telling her earlier and her unfortunately having to find out like this. Imlie looks shocked but it remains to be seen how she reacts.


For now, I would just like to appreciate the performances. Great work from Sumbul, Kiran Khoje and GM as well 👏👏👏.

Precap seemed like Imlie went to C house maybe to talk to her mahaan Didi 😆…behen milaap ghusaayenge hi aage pucca.

And phir Dev ko suna diya to buzz off 👏😂….must be shocking to see ki beti aisi self sufficient bhi ho sakti hai unlike inki clingy rotlu bechaari “professor” Malu 😆

Thanks yous for the post and I second x infinity on everything you said about the maa beti ki jodi and what grace and dignity they bring to the show.. as I was saying these are the actors who raise the script so much with their simple class act and make you connect with otherwise mediocre content thanks to the way they carry themselves.. it was worth watching the way both maa beti even while they were breaking apart getting buried under the pahaad of accusations held onto each other and were such a strong support to each other and were trying to put a strong face..the way imlie went into instant shock and kinda stumbled to her Amma holding her to imlie denying in shock to her trying to quickly sambhalo herself and wanting to draw strength from adi but him not being able to see her like this and saying suno humari baat in mid of all this which making her go numb..the look.they way she stared at him in between to that loser AC pushing her as if she is a bejaan thing ruthlessly to that kameena insaan trying to be her baba and jataooing some pyar and finally imlie gathering herself together and running away..ST was another level of Awesomenss.her pain her shock everything just so palpable just so raw.. more then the shock of the news which itself is too big for her and came like this her shock over the fact that her itne qareebi do log knew it and hid it from her and talked between themselves.. the look she gave to adi and then her Amma ke you guys knew and Amma ka nope not like that as if they have been hiding things but still not being able to digest that they could be secretkeepers

Kiran was just amazing it is the way she portrays mithi that makes her such an intresting character to watch..the way this masoom aurat had to bare the brunt of something she didn't do but that empathy for the woman who was character assassinating her too like this..idk how mithi does that...itna sab ke beech her going ke am sorry but you are not alone and I do not know your kid plz try and understand .. but yeh sab padhe likhe jaahil kaise samjhein ac jaise and then her fierce stand for her beti ..my heart went out to her seedha ke she can't let this be a reason for her beti to lose the respect and love she has now. it was such an instinct motherly thing but so aww ke she doesn't know how this family who is otherwise bhithaooing her on their eyes will react so she should leave.. it is so.painful ke bechari ko zindagi ne 2 lamhe nahi khushi enjoy karne di and ek baat jo.uska.kasoor hai hi naji.jiske liye she has actively being made guilty all these years still doesn't leave her..the moment she finds itna sa.bhi sukoon something or other comes back to give a reminder..it was absolutly disgusting to see that Beep aadmi trying to give her lovey dovey spineless looks and I was so so glad that mithi did not even once gave him any look of helplessness ya shikayat ya madad aise galeez log do not deserve anything and how she held her head up high knowing ke adi babu will take care of gudiya..woh ek unsaid vishwaas while she unraveled in that strange new place jo ek dum itna hi zyada ajnabee and paraya ho gaya for her ..jahan itni khusbi thi wahaan she was so lonely. 👏👏👏 ek dum for the books kind of performance from.her and ST

Then came poor Imlie's trying to deal with all this and how it will affect all her rishte but most importantly adi..she has seen it gone through it once and now when she is becoming comfortable finally calling his hers she cannot go through this whole cycle of he isn't yours you are to blame taking behan ka pati crap..the way she falls down lifts herself up and yells in denial ke yeh kuch sach nahi hai why is she being punished for something that she has once again no fault in..she isn't responsible for any of it but she will be the one bearing the punishments from all.ends and being made guilty.. I was wanting to just hold her tight so hard the way she went nope not this time.. I haven't done anything my Amma hasn't so why we suffer caz we only know the entire truth..it is just so heartwrenching to actually see that so directly ke yeah the 2 people who were cheated all their lives were actually facing the brunt of something that is beyond their control while the culprit went scot free caz he can play self victimization games..her fear to what it would mean to her in terms of adi and yeh nahi ho sakat aww🤗🤗 she has heard enough all her life from all around sab sar utha ke sahi hai caz she knew ke eventually her truth will prevail but this is so big ke she really couldn't muster her strength ek dum and kaise isse ubbhare caz that fear will loom all the time..I just loved loved the bit she was like nope yeh mera nahi hai dosh meri Amma ka nahi hai listen to our side to nobody..and adi coming and her repeating nonstop nope plz you believe me and adi's Don't worry I know I know everything you haven't done everything that did soothed her gave her ek strength immediately to then put her next thought in words ke this shouldn't have happened how could malini be her sister knowing very well how she will be accused for breaking her home then anything else.. very important part here she was still not up for giving him up.. until he in his guilt and sadness for putting herself through this so candidly tells her ke sorry and sorry a million times she shouldn't have to hear it this way he was only trying to.protect her leaving her off key again ke he knew itni badi baat all along..

I have a feeling she will understand this conversation has to continue and yeah maybe initially she might give him ignore treatment like 20% on this but she will.get it..it is only adi who can get through to her and bring her back mentally to the point where she can go back home and not be a statue ..he has to play his role bring the mental stability and give her himmat..praying to God we get it.. but I feel yeh samjh jaayegi it is his day to.play her pillar for allowing her to emotionally depend on him be her saathi and hold her hand and walk through it just like she did it for him last week. Let's see kya and kitna milta hai

Also a word to adi's fierce defence of Amma the way he stood out there ke excuse me it is not Amma but your pati I loved how he never said dad papa but seedha aapka pati and then the disgust and unsuni karna uss loser ki baat when here he went beta blah blah go adi ...his focus was truly being with the party who truly deserved his saath I.e his Amma and his.imelua the way he stood for their respect 👏 bravo I loved the snub even he was giving the 2 loservedis despite their begging and trying to guilt.trip him.in return you go adi

Oh yes, I also loved the way Amma was turning to Adi for silent support and the way Adi called her Amma so protectively in front of AC and DC really warmed my heart 🥰. Hope Aparna ke saamne bhi bole Mithi ko Amma soon :)

But yeah, had to post something to appreciate the power packed performances. This is how they elevate the scenes despite other pakaau elements in the show 😆

Thank you for the thread AY. Was waiting for your thoughts and thought the entire Hotstar issue must have also played into the delay.

Like Adi and Aparna are same same, Imeliya and her Amma are also same same. But ST and KK elevated the material to the point that you could truly feel that bebasi at being in a situation going so much out of control that you do not know where to start.

I loved how despite not being wrong, Meethi listed to all the taunts given to her because it was Dev's wife and somewhere she was almost resigned like I have listened to much worse the last 19 years. It was also heartening to see her even almost empathize towards AC that both have been betrayed and she never knew he was married till very recently. While AC ke pale woh baat kabhi padti nahi, but somewhere Meethi could understand AC's keen sense of pain and kept quiet till she came to her daughter. One line about Jyoti Gauba as well. She really evoked that sense of wanting to throttle someone with the vile she was spewing. Kudos to both to make us really hate AC's character.

Jaise beti ne tab react kiya tha, aaj maa ne bhi waise hi react kiya. She went all territorial and put her point very succinctly that I agree what I may have done was a mistake, my daughter is no paap and neither a mistake. Dono tab tak seh sakte hai as long as the other is not dragged into the conversation, jo aaj hua. When AC targeted Meethi by threatening her to tell the T family the truth, she was willing to literally grovel to save her daughter. Seeing that brought such a visceral reaction in Imlie that she showed her fierce PD style tigress ka andaaz. Matlab alag level ka tashan was shown to AC to protect her Amma from AC.

Here I actually felt a parallel of this scene to the sindoor wala scene where Malini humiliated Imlie and bechari she was on her knees trying to sameto her sindoor when Adi walks in. The way he went at Malini then and the way Imlie stood up to AC for her Amma today, they both literally mirrored each other.

Then when AC revealed DC's name, the utter shock, confusion running through Imlie's face. The way she just turned a bit to confirm with her mom that what she was hearing was correct and then the myriad of emotions on her face. Disbelief, shock, anger and finally just numbness. She really went numb while watching what was going on around her while processing the revelation just thrown at her.

Loved the way Adi pulled AC down a peg today. AC chose the wrong person to chedo with threatening bto tell the truth. he does not know that one he already knew and has processed through this and more importantly he is the least bothered about this truth as it never mattered to him. How easily he called her out by saying that the truth reveal will hurt her reputation more than Imlie, him or his entire family😆. The utter shock on AC's face was gold. Adi is made of sterner stuff and someone like AC will not be able to blackmail him about the truth, that too something he feels has no affect in his life in anyway. Matlab yeh banda Jainendra se nahi dara jab 2 biwia ka sach bahar aane wala tha, yeh AC ke aise piddhu se sach bahar aane se thodi darne wala hai.

At that point DC tried to show misplaced concern and go all "I am your baba" and that finally broke Imlie out of her trance. She just ran away from there to make sense of what she just saw. And the way she broke down🤗👏. I really wanted to just go into my screen and give that girl a tight hug. She literally just collapsed into her mitti wali maa to gather her thoughts on what just happened with her. Then the way all those insecurities that she had to an extent overcome or pushed to the back of her mind just came tumbling out. There also those insecurities were voiced by the 3 people whose opinion mattered to her and could change because of the truth. Loved that she never once doubted Adi's feelings for her in the entire process. She knew in her heart that Dev being her father will not matter to Adi in anyway.

Like you said I am really glad that at this point it was no one else except Adi and Imlie. No one else mattered because then he was the only one who could reach out and understand what her guilt and insecurities were. And he correctly started with addressing that only. People assumed that Adi will not tell her he knew. I was ure that would never happen because he cannot hide anything from his Jhalli. No matter the consequence, he will always be honest with her because she has always known his whole truth and accepted him the way he is and he does the same for her as well. It was good to see how he was explaining to her how he found out and I am somewhat glad they stopped at that, because any more and they would have had to either cut the scene at a further junction else not have it fully play out, which would have been worse.

By the remaining part of the episode, looks like there will be parallel conversations tomorrow. Today I am just going to revel in the way ST proved that she deserves to headline her own show and will continue to do so till the end, naysayers jaaye bhaad mein.
