Ahaan would be hypocrite if he still thinks someone leaving marriage for love is wrong. His thoughts changed after he went through it which is natural for any person. You understand others only when you go through it. Now he understands it so it is a character growth and not really hypocrisy.

They haven’t mentioned explicitly in the show but he accepted that dil pe family ke sath pyar ki zor zabardasti bhi chalti hai.
Even in Sonu’s case he showed growth in character and not hypocrisy. He said every brother like him in the world should apologize so it wasn’t only for Sonu. It would be hypocrite if he still blames other girls and fine with Sonu. But if he changed due to Sonu’s incident then it is growth.

but yea, if they ever show Ahaan blaming someone to choose love over family, blame girl for harassment then it would be hypocrisy.

My problem is ishqi accepted him before that.

And only jab khud pe baat aayi.
