Why they changed Sai character??

Is Sai straightforward and obedient only or is she intelligent sharp bright quick-witted as she needs to give the right, direct and true answer to everyone?

Knowing the truth that no one like her in Chavan family still she has to give her opinion suggestion advice to them...She suddenly makes as if nothing happened after such a big fight though it is a family fight she's never mentally disturbed that this fight is affecting her study but she's always happy to serve them she's also after Pakhi as if she's Vaishali and she needs to take care of Pakhi...

They are making her character completely different from what was shown initially...

Wrote something similar in another thread. Solely my POV, please don't turn this into Virat VS Sai or bash characters. Feel free to agree to disagree!

1) She has changed, we learn some habits from our close ones and it's something she learnt from Aai and Virat. Compromising at times to maintain the peace. It doesn't make you a weak person, I feel so at least. She'll still stand up for what's right, always will. She just wants to avoid unnecessary daily jhagde.

2) She's broken from inside, she can't handle it anymore, the mental torture has become too much. She doesn't want to deal again and again with taunts and I understand her completely.

3) She has started respecting Virat as a husband, she has given him that place, she doesn't realise it herself but she definitely has. It also changes the dynamics with others, with Virat's family. Somewhere she just want to live in peace with her Virat Sir and that means trying to avoid more problems.

4) Even earlier she always has been kind to her 'enemies'. She was extremely concerned when she made Pakhi grind those chillies. She brought her back from her maayka and many more such instances. It's part of her character. Itelidevara has explained it really really nicely!

5) She feels that Pakhi has more right on CN because Sai doesn't think of CN as her home. According to her she's the one who has to compromise a bit more. Despite all the recent developments, she still thinks that somewhere in her backmind. Especially because everyone makes her feel like that.

As far as showing that it doesn't affect her or her studies, it's who Sai is. She doesn't like showing her emotions, she barely ever will, she likes bottling up her emotions and will definitely not starting to accuse CNgang that because of you my studies are suffering, because of you my mental health is deteriorating. It's something Pakhi would do. Sai's self-respect and pride would never allow her to do that. She doesn't yet share that kind of comfort with Virat too that she could open up to him. Again she feels she's the one who should mainly compromise, but she'll never tolerate any injustice!

It's kind of a character growth, makes sense somewhere but I'd like to see my old Sherni back. First Virat had Pakhi obsession and now Sai, we could name it The Pakhi Show 🤦‍♂️

I don’t think Sai’s charecter got changed of late.

Since the begining they established her as one who never nourishes any malice at heart despite differences and fights. There were many fights and arguments happened in Chavan Nivas and Sai continued to spread her goodness around ,without keeping grudges and that is her charecter trait.

Sai never could see anyone starve ,that is her weakness. Yes she has differences with Pakhi but that won’t make Sai let her starve . It takes so much goodness and nobility to make the move and say sorry just to make her eat.Not everyone can do that. One should have childlike innocence to posess such pious soul.

Despite her verbal arguments with Kaku Sai never disrespected her. If evening she fights with her,again next morning she will be the girl trying to be the same and serve her food.

With Ninad,Omkar,Sonali also she never developed any grudge towards them and behaved normally after each fight.

Pakhi is no exception. We never see Sai stay away from her or stop interacting with her even after having many confrontations with her. Differences on one side,Sai always used to be the one to take the step and be normal with her. Yes she is rude to the elders verbally on many occasions as she won’t hesitate to speak her heart but that never stopped her from giving respect to their age and status as the family heads.

Beauty of Sai’s charecter lies in her ability to look beyond fights and arguments and maintain cordial relationship with even those who take pleasure in troubling her. It is not mahanta it is goodness of heart.

So I don’t find anything wrong in Sai feeling agitated on account of Pakhi’s Bhook hartal. For her it is important to make her eat otherwise she will fall ill. In Pakhi’s place if Karishma is there Sai will react the same way.

Writers did a great job in conceiving Sai’s charecter which is unique. The girl is normal,vulnerable and impulsive but magnanimous and noble . This is a rare combination happened due to Kamal Joshi’s upbringing.

I want my ten year old daughter to cultivate atleast some good traits of Sai Joshi but I know it is not easy to be like her.

It’s not a change....

Sai hasn’t lost herself...

She’s in love. Love changes you, you want to do things that will help you become closer to the person you love, you’ll take on their interests, try to be with people they love, try and act like they do.....

When you’re madly in love that’s what happens and at 19, love has the ability to change you!
