The Karthik scene is obviously added afterwards even though chronologically that happens before. If you look at the sneak peek, the police is already there when Ahaan is hitting Mehta Textiles (iykyk😆) badi hi bedardi and berehmi se, bhaisaab ne sanskaar ko bekaar kar diya 🥺 I think they edited it this way to create a more dramatic effect.

I'm just curious to see how Mehta uncle (who has no fudging clue of her wife and daughter's kaand) bears the brunt of it all whereas Rhea gets out innocent. Maybe she goes to stay in the Malhotra household for "emotional support"😆 because her father gets sent to jail?
