My Take on Sarla-Ishqi confrontation 🌝

I honestly didn't find the confrontation appropriate wrt real life.

In India relation specially with In laws of a girl is fragile and we have to maintain the dignity for lifetime because it's about girl's entire life. And by dignity I mean both sides.

And one thing is about respect for elders, we have seen Sarla making fuss out of anything every now and then but she does all that to be center of attraction and get everything done by her respective samdhi's.

It's her trick nothing else.

But we have never seen her disrespecting the elders of the family and that's how it works. Sarla is smart enough to bully Ishqi and Sonu bt she has always respected Dadi and never said a word to chacha/chachhi.

She doesn't find her authority to question anything to Ahaanas as well.

Our family never let us speak in such matters and whenever we try to do they sushhh us by saying 'Bade ke maamle me chote nhi bolte'.

I agree sometimes our elders are very wrong and they need to understand and look from our perspective but this was not the time.

We have seen Kartik poking his nose in many matters but they family shuts him up cuz of the same reason although he always had valid points.

And the thing about Sarla is that she's a sort of personality whom you can't win by pushing her on back front which Ishqi was trying to do. She's a sort of personality that can go on back front if something out of her expectations is done, example she's trying to create a drama and someone meddles in between and give her the lollypop which she wasn't expecting. To make her head bow down once AVM said sorry to her on Jagrata, she was wrong there but she felt little in front of AVM's big gesture to save Sonu's marriage. That's how you sush her. I'm not saying today something similar was required but for Ishqi (would be DIL) to say 'Ho gaya apka drama ya aur krna hai'? Was way over the top.

DIL doesn't have much say in these matters because first Sarla is elder to her, second she's outsider as of yet, she just can't make her point by shouting at her and passing sarcastic comments about her lifestyle on such a big matter. This thing has to be handled maturely and this is not the way Sarla or anyone from in laws can be shut up.

In real life this scenario could've been very disrespectful for both the families where would be DIL was kind of shouting and making fun of her nanand's Saasu ma.

In my honest opinion a mature conversation was what needed to stop Sarla.

Like someone pointed in the EDT, Raj was noway gonna support Sarla in this, she's nobody to take the decision of breaking marriage as it solely depends on the couple.

Also, it's not just for today it's for every typical day where Sarla tries to do something like this. It wasn't her first time and for Ishqi it would've been sober to stand in the crowd and let someone else handle this. Probably Raj, Ahaan or anyone.

I didn't watch the episode but I did hear a lot of screaming going on. I agree Ishqi might have been OTT, especially in terms of talking to Sarla like that. She has always been considerate in speaking to elders tho, aaj out of character q chali gayi?

These writers really need some consistency in their writing, jab dekho drama karne k liye character se kuch bhi karwa lete hai 🤔

She was in character. But this time Dadi was the one bashing her in and out but not Sarla and her confrontation could've made sense in front of Dadi but Sarla was in her own self making it all about herself.

I TOTALLY AGREE,but, i somehow feel, they put this just to show, ishqi has flaws too, and just to show ahaan trusts her, and the explaining scene which would come tomorrow..

merko toh extra laga, and didn't match with her...i mean she has never really done itna level ka drama with anyone except ahaan.. even if she did wanted to stand p, she has worked with sarla aunty long enough to use better ways to stop her and not the unnecessary extra dramas, she could have just left it at being modern. and also stopping ahaan , wasn't the best thing to do. merko toh bahot hi disrespectful laga.

Agree, as per precap I was excited for it but eventually what it turned out to be was not good. Stopping Ahaan in between and speaking non stop was little out of her character.

I liked how she stayed shut yesterday and it could've been better to stand there in the crowd today also because at the end today's matter was not about her but Malhotra's.

I also agree to this to some extent.

Ishqi didn't exactly say anything wrong. She was trying to prove a point and handle Sarla in her way . She knew Sarla won't like being shown negatively.

But having said dt I do think dt all this drama and life lessons isn't going to change Sarla. She might put down her weapons for now but she definitely would take it out on Sonu in some other way .

And yes I completely agree to the point dt the marriage wouldn't hv broken ....bcz Raj would not hv done it.

But one thing I do not agree to is......not saying anything Infront of elders. Atleast I don't believe in dt. Trust me my family is like any others , who disapprove us meddling in Adult's conversation. But dts bcz they never consider us as adults but we are. When you are of age .....like Ishqi or Kartik.....you do hv a ryt to voice out your opinions. Sometimes it works too. Bcz people don't see your perspective unless you are vocal about it. And elders cannot always be ryt. True they know more about worldly things dn us.......but they are from a different generation than us. And however much they may say they understand....... sometimes they don't. So you hv to tell them ....show them......for them to see that yes there can be different solution or a different reason for a thing .

So yeah if you are an adult by age....do speak out when you think it is necessary. But don't be brash abt it.

I think I'm going to get bashed here but I really think the confrontation was needed.

Respecting your elders is one thing but taking shit from them just because they are your elders is another. Standing up for what is right and standing against what is wrong is important.

What ahaan did by apologizing not once but twice was only to pacify her. That doesn't do anything but boost her ego more. Sometimes when you can't beat someone you join have to join them.

Ishqi met fire with fire which is what sarla needed to see the bigger picture. Call it disrespect or arrogance but to me it was correct. There's no harm in showing someone a mirror once in a way. The damage is already done. The truth is out. Rather than go down on your knees and apologize, thus making sonu guilty of everything she is accused off, take a stand! Fight it! And who better than the one who has already lost everything keeping this secret once before.

Let's face it. We know they get married irrespective of the drama so if this shuts sarla up for sometime then its good.
