My default setting

Sony- Will give it a go if the script looks good and casting is done well. My last four Sony shows have been Beyhadh/YUDKBH/S9MK and now IPZN.

Star- normally no (especially if it's a prime time show), but if it seems to be getting good reviews and appears promising, might give it a try. It's how I got into MHRW.

Colors- avoid at all costs 😆

Zee- 99% like Colors. KKB (Pranbir actually) a bit of an exception simply because I liked the male lead's characterisation, and I only got into it during lockdown.

i mostly watch tlc and nat geo on tv 🤣

those OTT scenaries that i will never get to see, those wildlife forests that i will only see from far and those 5ft cakes which of course m never eating 😆

True, I think he's always been an introvert but during Sadda Haq he was quite young and more open during the interviews. He's aged well, also I like guys who reads books so I like this version more 😆

Colors and Zee I don't even know which shows are running. SP I get to know and soemimes I give a try but nothing worth watching. I Did try watching GHKPM but couldn't connect.

I always find Sony shows much better so I give it a try. I started watching IPZN from the first episode without knowing its Gul show or did not watch the promo. When I watched the first episode I was sure it is Gul show then I searched promo and all😆 I did not have many expectation and first impression wasn't good but still stuck to the show. Then I just started loving it after a couple of weeks.

What's up with SP these days, making all remakes of regional shows?😕 Are they out of original ideas?😆

I dont think its a limited series...gul will never waste her money just for finite thats for sure if not she would have started it in sonyliv or hotstar.....maybe they had a time limit on how long would they be using the resort and possible that they knew they had to go back to mumbai so finish the wedding in the resort....rather doing it in malhotra house

That formula seems to be working for them TRP wise! Most Bengali show remakes, but MHRW I think is a Telugu remake.

And it's not just Sitara Hindi that's doing remakes, even their other regional language channels are happily copying it 😃

Personally, I find it tough to watch a serial if I know it's a frame by frame adaptation of another show, and the plot is openly available on Wiki or elsewhere. Ghum, for instance, is inspired by Kusum Dola, and after reading the whole KD plot on Wiki, my eagerness to watch Ghum (even despite Ayesha looking fantastic in the promos) disappeared 😔

Param said in his interview that they had a contract- don't think how long was disclosed though.

I assume it's safe to say they'll get a 3-4 month run at least (around 100 episodes), and then probably review it later. Given the show's popularity, I think they'll definitely get an extension, but it's all in the hands of the PH how they take the story forward, because they've already played one of their trump cards (lead couple confession, proposal and marriage)

@bold - yeah i remember seeing yeh hai chahatein on SP. saw it for 6 mnths then left it. i was prepared, EK shows ka i watch first 3 to 6 mnths then tata bye bye 🤣
