No, thats wrong. Constitutional position should not be mocked at.

The article 74 , 75 and 78 of Constitution of India provides for the union executive i.e the council of ministers with PM as its head, nowhere does it state that Prime Minister has to hold press conference.

Don’t know of any democracy where this doesn’t happen, unless of course Modi is incapable of answering people’s questions 😆

Countries have their own Constitution which constitute the legal basis of a polity and commonly determines how that entity is to be governed. Press conferences are nothing but a medium of addressal.

Far more significant and important is to follow the principles and functions of the role.

Can u specify the movies which were maligning the cultures? Infact, surprisingly, Bollywood is the most "conformist" and complaint industry when compared to the other southern counterparts or the Hollywood. Bollywood, very rarely, questions the traditions. Infact, it actively promotes and promulgates the traditions of the majority. Let me give u an example. I never came across the North Indian culture , until I was working in Hyderabad. But, by that time, I already knew abt karwa chauths, wedding traditions, ghunghat culture, and other festivals. All this I got thru Bollywood movies only. If u r really worried abt BW not preserving the culture, then be rest assured, that's not gonna happen. Except for very few, everyone in BW will bend over backwards to satisfy the powers that be. Till recently, when even South Indians are portrayed as caricatures, we can forget abt the minority representation, ofcourse.

I never thought someone would come in defence for movies/entertainment industry for not maligning cultures when it is happening for decades. Being a traditionalist I would see them more often than a liberal would do or agree to accept them. But will give a small example, Deewar a 1975 film.. If you have seen movie you will know what I am talking about.

But here is a thing don't mix up religion and traditionalism, I am not even an ardent Hindu follower, I don't even remember when I last visited temple. There is lot of wrong happening in the name of religion. One doesn't need to visit temple to be called spiritual.

So if people are ditching Karwa Chauth, why is it bad? (This is not aimed at you btw).

Let people who find it regressive not do it.

Let people who like it, despite its perceived regressiveness, do it.

Live and let live man. As simple as that. As long as an individual's action isn't harming anyone else, what's the problem?

Not everything has to be spelled out...some things are implied...that an elected PM of a democratic country is answerable to the people who elected him is implied.....the press conferences are a way that the concerns of the public are addressed through the press and journalists.....For a country's PM to take advantage of something that is not written in black and white in the constitution to avoid to address the concerns of people is nothing else but cunningness and douchebagery......and it is sad to use the constitution to defend this act of the PM..

So how come he hasn’t done a press conference ever? Is he not capable of answering questions?

Amongst all the other incapabilities that he’s famous for, him not doing even one press conference really made him a laughing stock both in his own country and around the world

Did u read my post??? where did I say that not doing it is bad....infact I said that no one should be forced to do it if they don't want to...that is when it becomes regressive...but I am against people think that I am a fool because I observe KC...I don't judge people who don't observe KC and I do not want be judged if I am observing it...I am a very staunch Hindu....I respect everyone's faith and religion if they are not harming anyone...but if someone is going to attack me for my faith...I will rip them apart..it is as simple as that...

Censorship should be eradicated as a whole unless it is promotion of heinous crimes like pedophilia, rape and so on.

I said "this is not aimed at you" specifically so that you don't say the bold. 😆
