As much as we would love to see raavi respecting shiva and standing up for him, but they have not reached that stage yet where they are each others priorities.they are just few weeks into a compromised marriage with so much happening.
For raavi her maasima is the most important person in her life even now, she will be more hurt at her insult rather than shivas, so her dlgs makes sense when she asks her maasi to stay away from shiva for her own good and asks shiva to respect her.
Just as dhara is for shiva, maasi is for raavi.can we imagine shiva standing up for raavi against dhara? Shiva lost his temper when she pointed out that dhara was wrong in the kitchen even when she didn't demean dhara in any way.but here she literally saw shiva attacking her maasi with a sickle.
Yess...maasi is plain evil but more often than not we love people based on how they love and treat us , how much they have done for us and not on whether they are right or wrong.this explains shivas blind devotion towards dhara.this explains Raavis love towards her maasi.
