Some Thoughts & Questions

This is my first post. These are just some thoughts I had and since I don’t have anyone to talk show about with I’m going to post them here.

1. I’ve been seeing a lot of Abhiraj and Mahi or Jasso/Amrik and I have to ask is there no other family in this whole state that these people can marry/be with. I understand why people might like these pairings as they have shown similar mindsets. However, I feel Mahi is too young for Abhiraj and they are in different points in their lives. Jasmine and Amrik might have similar maturity levels but they don’t care about each other and I don’t want to see them ruin their own lives for what....revenge? I hope the show doesn’t go in this direction.

2. FaTejo are married. I’m genuinely confused why People would want either of them with someone else? Are they hoping for extramarital affair’s? Personally, that’s not some thing I want to watch or support not just because I like this pairing. I understand it’s going to be slow for them considering how they got married but the basis of their relationship was friendship so I’m hoping we can get back to that. They should be a team💪🏽

3. I also worry with some of the characters how they are constantly changing the colors/what side they’re on may end up ruining the development they’ve had so far. I understand it’s a hectic time for everyone, but still.

I will write what I think abt your questions.

1. People keep pairing Abhiraj and Nahi together bcz these hv two somewhere hv formed a formal frndshp and besides both of them are shown to be good natured. Plus the fact that the show keeps revolving around two families only......it might end up being a possibility. Though even I don't want the pairing.....reason being it will only complicate relations .

As for Jasmine and Amrik........I find it odd even now that Amrik is too much into Jasmine. He keeps supporting her. Also I feel since offscreen these two make a cute couple and keep posting so many videos together..... probably makers might also hv had that in mind. But what makes it even worse that Jasmine only dream is to go to Canada. Sacrificing it for making Fateh jealous goes against her character.

2. Now for Fatejo. Even I don't understand why anyone rooted for Jasfa when from the very first episode it was clear Fatejo were going to end up together somehow. I atleast saw it from the very beginning. Starting from when his love letter got to Tejo , to how he made Tejo wear the wedding ring at the jewellers , it was evident makers were going for Fatejo pairing. So I don't think they will ruin their marriage ever. It will be slow but they will eventually be wid each other only.

I would not put much believe in makers. I was an ardent sairat fan, and in starting there, it was also clear that they would be the final pair and its almost six monts and even now they haven't moved ahead from the love triangle plot and this all dragging have almost sucked out all the love i had for the lead pair, they kept showing the ML swinging between the two ladies like a pendulum. They never let him commit completely to one girl that the pairing all but lost its essence for me..

And i am having a very bad feeling that they will do same with fateh as well.. They will keep him in between two females to keep both the fandom happy.. Which will do nothing but ruin fatejo pairing..

1. You should know that Indian soap opera's tend to revolve around two families unless they want to complicate things. Chances are high that Mahi x Abhi pairing will happen to increase the drama quotient in the serial, or to blacken a good natured character. Jasso x Amrik, I don't see that happening. But what probably will happen is that Amrik will develop a crush on Jasso and become her lackey to torture Tejo in her stead. Jasso will only marry a Canada waala ladka, so Amrik will be venting on Tejo. The possibility of this happening is 'round 90%

2. It's not that we dislike the pairing, there's just this thing called 'Protagonist bias' where you tend to lean more towards the character whose perspective is being shown. People tend to relate with the protagonist of the story they're invested in and let's be honest, NO GIRL would want to be treated like Tejo is by her husband. We knew all along that Fatejo was endgame, but I'm afraid that by the time Fateh's redemption starts, he would've already made too many irreparable mistakes that would not be forgiven in real life.

3. Yup, the most shocking change was from Gurpreet. I expected her to break the stereotypical 'Sadist Saas' image by being a pillar of support for Tejo, by being the person Tejo could rely on but NOPE, she's practically braindead now which is disappointing. The most welcome change was from Khushbeer who seems to have accepted Tejo whole-heartedly. And the most awful change was from Jasmine, unexpected but also expected. She literally destroyed the show for me with how freaking BRAINLESS she is, but I can't complain since people like her do exist in real life and I've met them.

Thank you for your reply! Yes I agree with what you’re saying I can see that. Also yes from the beginning of the show they were a lot of hints as to what the final pairing may be.

I can definitely see that happening in a bid to keep TRP high and everyone happy they’ll probably end up making no one happy 😢

Great points! Very true that if things keep going down the path that they are any sort of redemption that might not be able to hold weight. And yes his mother is so disappointing with her behavior.

Yeah, if you've watched enough Indian shows you'd know how often things like that happen. In one serial I watched, the ML r*ped the FL and was still forgiven. Such tropes make the viewers lose faith in their favorite pairings.

Sairat is the end game. The show is a remake of an old show. And there too the couple do confess their love to each other and end up together. But this is a itv serial. They can't keep showing romance all the time. They hv to put unnecessary drama to create complications. So even after Sairat unite their will be problems. Dts a given. When you are watching an Indian soap you hv to be prepared for leads to be separated to be united again, and separated again. This is like a vicious cycle.

As for Gum , I still like the show bcz I see Virat is committed to Sai. He loves her and respects their relationship and doesn't want Pakhi to malign it. That's very evident. But he does feel responsible for Pakhi 's plight .......lesser and lesser now. And dt will remain till Samrat comes back. But from where I see it , he has no romantic feelings for Pakhi.....none at all. So Sairat are a pair , even if they haven't confessed it to each other yet.

You can't do anything abt Pakhi bcz she is crazy. She still wants Virat to be faithful to her only. Just like I expect Jasmine to be. But dt doesn't spoil Sairat for me or Fatejo for me.
