Monsoon Wedding (2001)

Finally watched it! I've been longing to watch it for the longest time ever.

Am so impressed with this Mira Nair movie! It had heart and was also an extremely well-made slice-of-life movie.

The scenes behind the wedding, the tensions, the family drama, the deceit, the love, the betrayal, it all came out strongly.

I also liked the handling of the child sexual abuse theme. It was done sensitively, without any drama, and yet was depicted with utmost conviction.

Vijay Raaz stole the thunder, but the entire cast was brilliant.

Saw this movie a few years ago and I loved it!

watched it a long, long time ago so don't remember many details. But I remember absolutely loving the movie

I watched it when it was released 15+ years ago. Its songs were really popular. The movie is good but gets very serious towards the end.

When it released, it was the best movie here in California with all American audience.
