Even though most ITV MLs are not worth rooting for, they have atleast one good quality. He may be a typical son of a stupid family but will be honest, kind and soft to the FL. He may be arrogant and rude, but will believe in same rules for himself and wife. He may be very, very weak, but not be egoistic or abusive. He may be dumb and useless, but will stand against family if they commit a crime.

Virat must be the only ML in the history of ITV who doesn't have even a single good quality. Easily the worst ML ever.

I strongly disagree with the part virat being worst lead in ITV....

I agree that virat has its shortcomings ....but sai has too... Though virat's major problem is because of his 2 stupid vadas but the fact the situation in which they both married was not ideal... Both never thought that they are going to fall for each other... I know last 3 days episodes and 2 more scene( when virat stopped sai for eating+ davi tai's fiasco) were worst...and in most of my post I pointed it out that these are blunders that have no justification but I won't say he is the worst

Bold 1 virat is honest, kind and soft towards sai ... There are multiple episodes when sai topped he brought candi floss ... He fed her with his hand when she was missing her abba etc etc

Bold2 doesn't he???... Then why did he support sai to continue her education while everyone was against it?? Why did he feel proud when she topped?? Why did he always try his best in most of the situation so that sai won't feel the absence of his abba??

Bold3 ITV had much worst abusive and egoistic male lead who used to harass FL in the name of romance ...and they were popular as hell back at that time..and fans called all these as soooo romantic... And there used to be no redemption track for these behaviour just bcoz they were seen as romantic... atleast here whenever virat went abusive there were proper redemption track...virat actually considered that as his fault

Bold4 during that higher education track... mahashivratri , virat redemption track( after devi' track) etc virat did stand against his entire family for sai

But my whole was for the sentence that 'virat is worst ML'....and the reason given was that he doesn't have a single good quality....which I strongly disagree..he is much better than many famous male lead if I compare..and there are shortcomings too.. he need to work on that

I understand what you are saying. It's just that I'm very frustrated with his characterization. I've always tried to understand(not justify) his actions. What everybody was looking for was growth in his character, overcoming some if his flaws. With him brushing off Bhavani's crimes, and his recent muted reactions to Sai's humiliation, some if his characterization is losing context and he is being made to look shallow and hypocritical - which I hope he is not supposed to be.

Actually in ITV male lead is not considered as anything more than an accessory to support female lead.

And even that is not carried out properly. I'd have to scratch my head and strain my brain to recall a single male lead written with a purpose, with a mind of his own.

Virat might not be THE worst only because there have been absolutely horrible ones. Virat is surely one of the dumbest though.

Ghum show is high on TRPs because of the high voltage drama where people keep mudslinging each other. I'll admit I have also tuned onto that part a couple of times for entertainment. The family drama is always really predictable. Virat is always a silent spectator who barely gets a few words. He never has much of an opinion on things, never stands by his wife, never tells off his family for name calling(cheap drama) and keeps encouraging his ex to spew venom on his wife. How long will he go on with this dost nonsense with a woman who clearly doesn't feel the same way?

So yes, Virat doesn't excite me. I don't have hopes from the show. I do watch the cheap drama. I can't say I relate with Sai who seems to keep on tolerating absolute nonsense.

After today’s episode undoubtedly he is. Tell me one good quality that’s consistent in him. There are none.

He never opens his mouth when his family and BFF insults Sai but the point sai give them back he suddenly get his voice back even 😕 Man if you can't support her then at least let her fight for herself .. you claim that you love her then behave like one .

Virat = covert narcissist (look this up). Every indicator.

There's no way the writers would have come up with this through their own talent, so maybe they themselves are this way.
