The Ds are counter balances for the leads and even though we find them annoying, their traits and interactions with the leads drives the narrative. Aside from Amruta, all of them are written with some depth so as to help create various tracks and complications in the story.

@bold, considering how overwhelming this must have been, especially after the state he was in last night, I think Sai did a fantastic job of portraying Raghav's reaction to seeing his wife stand up for him of her own accord, and sacrifice this opportunity to reunite with her family and leave this trap, in favor of the more difficult path of truth. I have watched today's scenes a few times because the have been written at multiple levels and with each viewing I'm finding new things to appreciate and admire.

Absolutely, such a layered episode. One of the best ones the show has served so far.

Sai stole the show today, both with expressions and body language. You could just see all the attitude and swagger drain right out of him when Jaya refused to believe him. And then his eyes flitting from disbelief to hope to awe in seconds, and the constant hardening and softening of his expressions while looking at Vijay and Pallavi respectively.

Even Shivangi was fabulous with Pallavi struggling to catch up with what's going on around her, and the gentle but fierce strength in her posture when she took a stance.

He will never force her to stay with him out of duty or whatever. When she refused to go and he understood that that was her choice and sanki kept insisting, I loved the anger on his face. If she hadn't put her foot down in front of sanki, he would have. So refreshing to see an ML like this. I am really proud of the writers for the multiple layers in that scene today. Brilliant.

It's all about consent. I love the scene where Vijay was dragging her out and she stopped, with flashbacks to when she was thrown out. This is the second time she's doing this. The first was when Sharda tried to stop the wedding and take her away, again with the same flashbacks.

Vijay throwing her out and not one single person in the family having her back in that moment was the only time in the show she's crossed the threshold of a house against her will, and it was a humiliating incident. Since then, every time someone tries to do that to her, that's what she remembers, and she doesn't let it happen again.

It tells me she does have a lot of self-respect, and hasn't forgiven the family for that day. She was just dealt blow after blow that day and in the next few. She's only now getting the time to pause and process the hurt.

She crossed the threshold of Raghav's house once to leave as well- she did with dignity, and of her own free will, the night she decided to leave, and she came back with him and crossed it again the same way, with dignity and free will.

If Pallavi wants to leave tomorrow, challenge be damned, he's not going to stop her. Since that night, their marriage has been a consensual one, albeit with different levels of commitment and investment from the two for the time being. She's not previously been afforded such unconditional respect, it's always been contingent upon her being an aadarsh bahu/'beti'.

But his voice didn't suit the kind of sentiments the lyrics were describing.

And the voice didn't suit Raghav's own voice and personality at all. It felt very old.

Contrast it with the female version, there the voice is so melodious and perfectly resonates with Pallavi.

Exactly Mukhta😆

But I found his voice somewhat diff😆

I so totally agree.

What is further infuriating is that Pallavi was searching for a hint of guilt and remorse when she looked into Vijay’s eyes when he grabbed her hand but she found none and saw only arrogance which told her that he isn’t taking her home because she is his daughter and he loves her but he is taking her home jisse woh Raghav ko neecha dikha sake. Instead of apologising to her for his mistake which she was looking for in his eyes for just a hint of apology, all she found was arrogance that makes him think he was right to throw her out but since he has a big heart he will consider forgiving her. I am glad that Pallavi has enough self respect to know that she deserves an apology even though it’s her baba but since he was wrong about her he should have been profusely apologising and requesting her to come back home instead of trying to forcefully drag her out.

Chulbuli said she's gonna take this initiative on Twitter

Today's episode reminded me of two previous scenes.

First, when Vijay slapped Farhad at the hospital during the abortion track. It was absolutely uncalled for, and Raghav had jumped in, and Pallavi had blown up at Raghav instead of trying to reign Vijay in. Second, I remember the scene with Raghav telling her to find herself independent of her family.

I think today she made a step in the direction of being Pallavi first. She didn't intervene in the escalating argument between the two hotheads, it only stopped when Jaya stepped in. Back then, her sense of loyalty superseded her sense of right and wrong. She was Pallavi Deshmukh.

Today, she was neither speaking as a daughter, nor a wife- neither Pallavi Deshmukh, nor Pallavi Rao- but rather Pallavi, a girl who wears her heart on her sleeve, but is capable of rational thought, and cares about who is right and who is wrong, rather than who she owes her allegiance to.
