She is not just his life partner, but also his only anchor on his way to live life without any guilt or hollowness. He has it in him to love people, but she is his medium to reveal that side to the world and to himself, as Farhad said in the beginning. Anna ki achhaai sirf Pallavi jaisi ladki hi duniya ko bata sakti hai. (At that time I didn't take it seriously). Now it has been proved. She did that in the reception, and now to her own family and his family. Farhad said that not just because she is good, but also because she can stand up for what she believes in, as she used to do with Raghav. Her righteousness was first against Raghav, and now it is for Raghav. Pehle for family tha, ab against family ho gaya (Raghav Anna ne kya toofaan machaya hai). 🤣

Screenplay was brilliant. 👏

Yes, she is his anchor, but ironically he is fast becoming hers too, even if neither is aware of it. Based on what she told Raghav about her childhood, I am guess she was always insecure, always looking for stability growing up. She wanted that anchor, that stable, permanent home and life with the Deshmukhs but it was not meant to be. After Mandaar's death, she constantly tried to find ways to make a permanent place with the Deshmukhs and as time passes we realize, as does she, how superficial that is. With what Raghav did at the party, he effectively uprooted her again, as a storm does, but once it settled, she found herself displaced and relocated to a new resting spot, the Rao family. Here, the dynamics are different, the slate was wiped clean recently after Raghav asked for a second chance, and it is for her decide what she wants to write on it, when, how, and with whom.

Pallavi can try to show the world the good in him through various attempts, but I believe it will come out naturally as he gains the confidence to show this side to the world because of her repeated show of faith in him. She will believe in his ability to do good and reinforce what he tries to tell himself, that deep down he is a good man. When the next storm comes into their lives, with the revelation of the Raos' traumatic past, Pallavi and Raghav will face it together, and whatever the aftermath is, they have each other to count on to move forward.

Absolutely, such a layered episode. One of the best ones the show has served so far.

Sai stole the show today, both with expressions and body language. You could just see all the attitude and swagger drain right out of him when Jaya refused to believe him. And then his eyes flitting from disbelief to hope to awe in seconds, and the constant hardening and softening of his expressions while looking at Vijay and Pallavi respectively.

Even Shivangi was fabulous with Pallavi struggling to catch up with what's going on around her, and the gentle but fierce strength in her posture when she took a stance.

The body language both Sai and Pallavi had on was so on point that it did half the work of communicating the emotions in that scene. I loved the way Raghav was deflated, shoulders almost slouched because of Amma's words and then the way he was almost puffed up again and stood with his back straight when Pallavi literally stood next to him and told everyone in clear words that she believed him without any doubts.

Sai is just one of those actors whose screen presence makes it hard to notice anyone else but Shivangi was right up there with him. They should give her more scope to perform, she is so refreshing to see on ITV.

It's all about consent. I love the scene where Vijay was dragging her out and she stopped, with flashbacks to when she was thrown out. This is the second time she's doing this. The first was when Sharda tried to stop the wedding and take her away, again with the same flashbacks.

Vijay throwing her out and not one single person in the family having her back in that moment was the only time in the show she's crossed the threshold of a house against her will, and it was a humiliating incident. Since then, every time someone tries to do that to her, that's what she remembers, and she doesn't let it happen again.

It tells me she does have a lot of self-respect, and hasn't forgiven the family for that day. She was just dealt blow after blow that day and in the next few. She's only now getting the time to pause and process the hurt.

She crossed the threshold of Raghav's house once to leave as well- she did with dignity, and of her own free will, the night she decided to leave, and she came back with him and crossed it again the same way, with dignity and free will.

If Pallavi wants to leave tomorrow, challenge be damned, he's not going to stop her. Since that night, their marriage has been a consensual one, albeit with different levels of commitment and investment from the two for the time being. She's not previously been afforded such unconditional respect, it's always been contingent upon her being an aadarsh bahu/'beti'.

Consent: Sanki doesn't get it, doesn't care for it. He wants Pallavi to behave in a specific way, and when she doesn't conform then he lashes out at her, as well as at Sharda for 'supporting' her in this.

We all used to say that the day Pallavi goes away from the Deshmukhs and sees other facets of life, she will have time to reflect and compare, and that's already starting to happen. She may not realize it now but one day, I want at least a monologue of her talking about how her life has changed, how she's actually started to live fully after becoming a member of the Rao family. It's ironic that while Amma and Keerti place conditions on Raghav, everyone in that household, including Farhad, supports Pallavi unconditionally, at all times, whether or not she asks for it. She doesn't have to prove anything or chase people to hear her out. They give her the space and respect she deserves and has a right to.

So yes, if Pallavi wants to leave, he won't stop her. The question is, will he try to convince her to give their future a chance, or will he express his emotions and leave the final decision to her? Perhaps he will say nothing because he won't want her to feel emotionally obliged to respect his feelings and stay back for him, rather he'd want her to live as a free bird and be happy at all times. Let's see.
