She's been getting annoyed with his chill attitude and stubbornness for a while. It reminds me of the hostel scene too where he didn't care if anyone found him there and would not leave without saying his piece. So far, it hadn't affected her studies, so she trusted the words he professed after the shaadi. Now his chill attitude combine with his stubbornness is directly affecting her educational progress. And he's making light of it because he's a Sabherwal and by extension so is she. There's sooo much arrogance in that. I can see why she feels played with.
I agree. He does need a dressing down. Kitna dheet hai banda. Yes that Sabarwal attitude(God!! I hate Devi and everyone who has enabled this attitude in Shaurya and Betty as well). I agree that Anokhi definitely has the complete right to kick his arse over this. But I don’t think he will understand the seriousness behind it, till her pain and experiences comes out in words as well.
We can go in circles talking about Shaurya's intentions and actions, but the consequences is all that matters. She didn't share the dark parts of her past, but he also has made his own assumptions about her struggle. He's going down the path that, "You might have had unsupportive parents, but at least you had parents". He gives no thought to the fact that those parents have tried to destroy her spirit since birth because she's a girl and all the struggles that come with it. He's very ignorant to it. This is something that will require Aastha. She's privy to everything that happened surrounding Anokhi's forced marriage.
Intentions do matter. But consequences are the ultimate deciding factor. I said this, people who have not had toxic parents cannot easily believe or emphasize that even parents can be toxic. That is the pedestal parents are put on. We always hear that parents do so much for their children. Mother’s are selfless, fathers keep their wants aside for kids. Yes, of course there are parents like that. But for every parent like that, there is a parent, who is toxic, abusive, irresponsible, inattentive, narcissistic. The world is not ideal or rosy as many like to believe. Shaurya spent his life as an orphan despite having parents. So, he thinks/or is naive enough to think that all parents, who are there with their kids are better than his. I don’t think Shaurya will ever understand Anokhi’s equation with her parents, her father, till he Anokhi talks about it, or Aastha gives him a picture or better witnesses how her father treats her. (Personally I want a confrontation between Shaurya and Mr. Bhalla, when he is mistreating Anokhi, I hope the Cv’s so that)
I do think that Anokhi, in her own way, did discount the depth of his pain. She only saw Aastha's pain and tadap for her son. She doesn't realize that his hurt and anger were fueled by Devi and Tej for the last 25 years too.
Shaurya opening up was soooooooo needed. He was begging to be understood post-shaadi, but this is the first time he gave a valid reason to why her condition for their marriage was so unfathomable to him. Watching the post shaadi scene where he cries and says he will try......and then watching the Aastha scene where he's begging to have his efforts acknowledged........to this episode's explanation of how they don't have a 'dil ka rishta'..........it just all comes together!!
Yes!! For Anokhi, Aastha is her second mother. Someone who is so supportive, inspiring and courageous. So she couldn’t believe Shaurya didn’t love someone like that who is indeed his mother. She didn’t understand that, Shaurya never felt the care, support or attention she did, from Aastha. I am so happy that he finally opened up to her, coz he was not able to refuse her, but it was tearing him apart to walk those steps towards Aastha. Not because he doesn’t love her, or want to be loved by her. But coz he can’t easily forget or forgive all those years he yearned for her. N coz he is still afraid of being rejected/abandoned. N yes! He has always needed acknowledgment of his efforts, coz he never got it as a child.
Anokhi has soo much to tell him about the past. I think Aastha would be a better person to explain the circumstances. She got shot because she helped Anokhi. I can't wait for that ShaKhi conversation, because the protective Shaurya will roar that day!
Oh yes!! When he really understands what she went through, the protective side of him will take to task all those who put her through it.
Shaurya broke me! KV deserves all the love for the dialogue delivery, voice modulation and the tears. Shaurya was always holding Anokhi's hand....but as he spoke about his hurt, he kept backing away from her comfort, as if to not spill his sadness onto her.
That scene was so beautifully done. It broke me to see him backing away when she was trying to reach him to comfort him. It was like he did not want the bitter sadness of his life to touch her. And when she just came n hugged him from behind, it felt really peaceful.
My poor babies grew up with being a bhoj and owing a karz. They will give each other all the validation that have been missing in their lives until now!
Yes! They both need it. N only they can give that to each other. Broken as they are, only they can heal each other.
I'm sooooooo glad Shaurya is aware. We had an inkling that he was. But for him to state that his entire childhood was filled with rising debt make me HATE Shaan. Shaurya had a parent present, who was also a Sabherwal, who could've raised him(most likely with pain still), but not that overwhelming debt he feels towards Tej/Devi. Shaan could've save Shaurya from that.
And now Shaurya is making decisions that can pay off the debt, but leave him in a hell hole.
I knew he was aware from Anokhi’s birthday episode, but saying it aloud in front of someone else is a huge step for him. That’s why Anju, I can’t ever forgive Shaan completely, no matter what he does going forward, how much he supports Shakhi, I won’t be able to forgive him completely. For the 25 years of misery and suffocating Shaurya felt, only coz Shaan was so spineless and self absorbed. N I can’t forgive BM ever for suffocating him with this debt!! I want to see her fall, her arrogance fall, her position fall, her over confidence to be broken into pieces, when Shaurya chooses Anokhi and Aastha over her. I know it’s not gonna come soon, but I will wait for that day.
Yes..........we need this! Anokhi deserves it! I want Deba to break my heart too.
