I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who felt that this way about anokhi’s condition. I mean she could have used astha as an example and it could have been that shaurya himself took initiate to find out what went wrong with astha. We can guide someone but can’t force someone to fix relationship. Shaurya can find out what went wrong with astha 30 years ago and he might be able to sympathize with Astha but that doesn’t mean he will change overnight. Also anokhi also needs to change certain things about her it may not be as major as shaurya but she is not perfect either.
Anokhi could have denied this marriage by saying how he didn’t stand up for her and how her family won’t accept her. She could have used any other reason than this condition.
Actually, having had time now to process and digest the episode, I rather she did that! Her condition hasn’t sat well with me. Maybe because she is preaching something that she isn’t herself following. Also, I think this is a fall from her character, I did not expect from her. For Shaurya, we know from the premise that he is that way with his soch, so it’s kinda expected that he did something like this, and we know that he’s gotta change his mentality if he was to have a relationship with Anokhi. They story is about this journey anyway, but with Anokhi I don’t know. I hope she can see his point of view when she reflects upon it.
I hope the CVs don’t go down the path of redeeming the ML and correcting his soch and ignoring that a marriage is all about compromise by both parties.
