The big stars know that in India it is more about star-culture than content. It has always been this way. Stars have a following which transcends logic. They know they can get away with anything, because people blindly worship them.

I myself will watch any Deepika or Hrithik movie, regardless of reviews. It's all about loving the stars.

Results of Dabang 3, Zero and Thugs of Hindustan say something else. No, they can't get away with anything

because people watch whatever trash these super stars make . And these actors know that , that’s why we have been served below average crap

Maybe perhaps maybe most bollywood writers are mediocre too.

They have to start a program like bcci to find talent in some nook n corner , ain't no one got time for that .

It neither is nor was low. The mainstream is low but there have always been movies which are underrated but marvelous or way ahead of time....

Offcourse if you compare indian regional cinema to bollywood, the later is way behind ( except money and glitz and glamour )

This is where people have misconception that bollywood doesn't not give out content. There's content type genre and there is a masala genre. Masala genre is for entertainment with action, dance music, comedy roman and then you will find content based movies. Its same all over the world, hollywood gives out over the top comedies like hangover as well.

You are totally right, It just fans them self don't focus on content films, Most of content films becomes boxoffice disasters, and surprisingly they keep complaining
