Nope - Prithviraj , Shashi , Rishi (especially his older roles) are easily above him. Raj above him as well and Shammi was more entertaining.

He is certainly the most underrated celeb.

No his father was a brilliant actor.

ranbir is a wonderful actor plus his career is not even half way through its bit unfair to compare him to legends like rishi or prithviraj kapoor specially when talking about rishi s "second innings" ranbir has long long way to go

he is certainly much better than many of his contemporaries and certainly certainly way better than alia bhatt

I used to think so but now I realize Ranbir Kapoor is a one-note actor. Great at the man child/lost soul kinda characters but that’s about it. No versatility at all.

"man child" argument again do people even know what the term actually mean and if they do on what basis do they think that ranbir s characters fulfill that criteria i would never know

If someone needs to know what a man child is, then they can just watch Ranbir’s movies 😆

He tried his hand at serious roles like Roy and Rajneeti but had that one stone cold expression through out. Love him in Rom coms so he should stick to that.

not everyone has to like ranbir just like i find ranveer ott and cant understand all the hype around him i am sure many think the same about ranbir

ranbir is not perfect he has long way to go

but when it comes debating i would like to see some genuine criticism with same valid points

not just going around calling him man child just for the heck of it without stating any reasons

He is definitely better most of Kapoor clan that I have watched, even with his limited filmography.

And yet I feel he is not been truly tested IMO. He is excellent in character roles and light roles as well. But all his characters have been very urban

Would like to see if he can pull off more rustic roles convincingly - he definitely has the talent to manage it. It will be interesting to see if he But will take it to the highest levels of Aamir in Lagaan and SRK in Swades, or will he meander at Hrithik in Super 30 levels. Anything lower is not expected of him

Rishi's second innings were fantastic but doesn't mean his first innings weren't either. He was a natural and spontaneous actor who could slip into role. Ranbir has trouble stepping out of his comfort zone, his father was much more versatile from the start
