Amit Kumar is doing shows, I have seen him. I know about M Aziz and Shabbir Kumar. They might've had certain savings as well, knowing that royalties were uncertain. But the ones who haven't done much work will face a problem, that's a given.

I am talking about all composers. They became singers because they can earn more money that way. That is because there were no royalties till that time. Also the older generation did stage shows coz they are earning more money.

The newer generation faces another problem, their songs are usually forgotten so from where will the royalty get generated ? Songs should have longevity too right.

Again with SMP bashing. Please stop ascribing your personal biases to Mr. Amit and what he might be thinking. You could easily see that he was appreciating and enjoying while she was singing.

Read that Amitji is in his 70s. He probably belongs to an earlier era that enjoyed a different style of music perhaps like his father’s. He may not appreciate when modifications and variations are brought into these golden era songs. younger Singers musicians work with old songs improvise on them for modern day consumption where changing the feel tempo etc of a song making it new is happening and there is a market for remakes. Therefore unless one sings the exact original format and style he may not enjoy it. Of course the above is mere speculation he maybe enjoying new age music 🎵 😊
I attempted to watch the show but when the judges starting singing I didn’t enjoy it. In hindsight they should have left it to the contestants and Amitji to complete the 100 songs but it is a tall order perhaps feasible in the beginning when we had more contestants because it’s a lot of work. This is not at home karaoke.
