And I don't think that the Sabherwals don't love him, they really do. They do care for him too. But they also have lied to him to keep him close. They have also subjected him to pain for the sake of their ego and family honor. Which is why I don't think he'll cut them off completely but he will definitely feel betrayed and hurt that Devi put him through so much pain just because of her insecurities. And at the end he will at least come out of feeling indebted to them.
Lol i'm gonna stop before I keep rambling about him because you know me and my love for Shara Bear I can keep going forever! But wrt the marriage I did think for a hot second that Devi would emotionally manipulate him and that maybe there was some business deal between the Kapoors and the Sabherwals that could have been struck where this marriage is important for that to go through. I guess we'll have to see for all we know they are going to give us a meh justification in the end, a deus ex machina type thing, and we will just have to go along with it 😆 But I have hope with these CVs
Remember that Shaurya and Shaan talk about the importance of family. Shaan implied that the family was being held together without every member's happiness. But Shaurya seemed to defend the importance of keeping the family together. I think that's the way Shaurya views family. It's the people that stay! He's not as concerned about the happiness of all because he's willing to push down his wants and needs if it keeps his family together.
Anokhi is the wrench in these thoughts and plans! This is why Devi fears her. Anokhi values self-respect and happiness. Shaurya is starting to value that as much. His love for Anokhi is at another level. Alok had once said "Uss ladki ke aage, hosh ko bhet tha hai". Anokhi makes him value his own happiness. Is he willing to risk his family's happiness and unity for a girl? The short answer is "YES".
Like the instances you mentioned, Shaurya has spent the last 25 years being grateful for being loved by a family that took an abandoned child in. He's told Devi before that without her, he would have been 'lawaaris'. He has such a ingrained indebtedness to the Sabherwals. That scene you mentioned where Kanchan and Gayatri were being kicked out, Shaurya had such a restless and helpless look. He was begging for his Bade papa to rethink his decision. He's so afraid to lose family, even the ones like Kanchan and Gayatri that he's not shown to interact with much.
I try to think of Shaurya's love for Devi like when one takes in a stray - cleans him, feeds him, educates him, and loves him. The return on such an act is loyalty. And a man who turns his back on that, would be no better than his mother - disloyal! Having felt wronged by Aastha's decision, will he do such a disloyal act and abandon his family?
We like to bad mouth the Sabherwals for their controlling and conditional nature, but that's not what they are to Shaurya. And a man directed by love, loyalty, and conscience, might not easily walk away from what he has known his whole life. Again the unknown in all this is his love for Anokhi. He's never loved like this before. Will he again lose his hosh and follow Anokhi out of his house or bring her with him into the home???
We'll have to see if Devi has a ace up her sleeve.......I trust the CV's cautiously to give me a good reason.

For the change ITV should do the first time is showing FL getting pregnant under the intoxication of the ML 😆I mean I have never seen them doing family planning. They should starts with those small changes .
