Which recent BW female characters divert from female stereotypes and make you think twice?
For me:
Bitti in Bareilly Ki Barfi - She exercises agency in her love life, takes matters into her own hands, and is sassy and confident.
Veronica from Cocktail - Sexually and otherwise, this girl banishes stereotypes and yet has a heart of gold.
Vidya Bagchi in Kahaani - Goes all out to revenge her husband's death in an extremely smart way. It’s refreshing to see her raise hell when she's wronged instead of waiting for someone to make things right.
Shivani Roy in Mardaani - She proves women don't have to be the damsel in distress, but can channelize resources and be a badass cop in a man's world
