Romance is dead in BW? - Page 2

If by romance you mean the kissing and the vulgar love making the movies show today....then thank God that is dead....even SRK fan's rejected his movies that had that....

Also the romance that SRK did......that can never be recreated and is gone for ever....SRK used to romance with his eyes...romance was an emotion and not some vulgar sex....like I saw in Bombay begums and puked..🤢

Everything has become sexualized....innocent, pure, sweet romance is dead in films today. It sucks, because I LOVE those kinda films!

Off the top of my head, the last major romantic blockbuster that had that innocence and sweetness may have been RNBDJ back in 2008.

Well, thank god for that. BW has relied on mushy romance fir too long. Filmmakers like RGV, Basu, Kashyap and Hirani forced the BW to look beyond love and songs.

Lovemaking is not vulgar. Camera angles and excessive skin make it vulgar on screen.

That being said, people will come for a good story. Problem with most romances in BW is that it is the same 2 or 3 plotlines. Warring families, boys who need the love of a good girl to grow up🤢, class differences. Nor do they have well-fleshed out characters.

Show people a love story with an actual story and not merely cute scenes and a few songs strung together, they will watch. Show people with flesh-and-blood characters and not some caricatures BW imagines regular people to be, they will show up. Case in point: Kabir Singh, even with all its problems.

But, romance abd sex are not mutually exclusive. Isn't it?? In real life, one follows the other. We start with looks, innocent touch, butterflies in the stomach and then graduate to kisses and sex. I liked how Kabir singh explored these aspects. Cute romance of the couple at first, and then , both of them being horny fir each other.

Most of us have sex in private😆....and I was talking about showing sex that is as good as watching soft po rn...like what we had in Befikre or Ram Leela and if you watched the netflix series...Bombay Begums..🤔
