I can see Khanderao distancing himself and ma6b3 Gautama bringing another Bahu for her spoilt Ladla as a severe lifelong punishment for Ahiliya.

let’s see the next two days pan out for Ahiliya but I am not getting good vibes for after she returns to Malwa.

I think that would be a really sad thing to happen. I understand that this kind of happening is common in royal households. Men marry several times over.

Where that puts the rest of the wives is really sad to imagine.

But doing that as a kind of revenge on Ahilya would be really mean.

If that girl happens to be rich ( I am giving ideas to CVS to torture Ahilya seems to be ) then Gautama would be really gloating over that fact.

So far she is was tolerable in fact even to some extent decent towards Ahilya.

Childhood fights if they ruin husband wife relationship even before they take off then that would be really said.

Khanderao seems to be not very bad. He has redeeming qualities. But denying your wife education because you feel she will become better than you. really ?

That seems to be a nasty thing to do.

Khanderao is insecure? But why? His mom is forever supporting him. If his father is forever reprimanding him should he not try to think and try to find out why his father is angry with him?

In fact his Oh so righteous mother should reflect on it and try to make him understand. But she does not do so. She does not try to make him understand nor correct him.

Ahilya wants to study . She is sad about social evils . Malhar will allow her to study.

I did not know that everybody was illiterate in the palace and none of the Ranis knew even to read a letter sent to them.

Being royal means responsibilities even for women. So why? If they knew to read then

The way they show things is good. But Khanderao would have thought he could bully Ahilya into promising him that she will not ask anyone regarding studies once she is back in the palace. But he definitely did not expect her to run away and hide. After all he is a boy and he does not have that much far sightedness and definitely not a big heart/broad mind. He thinks he can ask Ahilya to promise that she will not ask Malhar regarding studies if her father did not allow it. How does that make sense? She is married. Now she can ask her in laws in this case FIL if she wants to study. I mean whoever supports her in this she can try through them. But he asked for promise and why did she give the promise ? She should have said no at that point. Not afterwards.Running away is not good on Ahilya's part too. And it still does not explain why she set her heart on studying all of a sudden.

If every other woman in the palace is educated and they do not let her learn and want her to remain illiterate then she should fight.

But if every rani including Gautama is illiterate and have no knowedge of letters or numbers then how come Ahilya alone wants to break "tradition" I wonder.

If Khanderao is going to get another wife and ignore Ahilya that is bad.

Frankly choosing studies and getting ignored by Khanderao or remaining an illiterate fool to satisfy his stupid ego the former is a betting life than the later. So even if he ignores his wife that would not be such a bad thing.

LOL

seriously, it is shame that there is very little knowledge on Ahilya Bai ...we don't know when she studied, we don't know how their relationship evolved, ...I know the makers have to complete the drama quota but still, her life isn't like other historical figures wherein we have some ounce of info ...
