Raavi never confessed to dev

Hello guys ...I have been following this show since day one & m totally luving it...I wud lyk to share dat I found it really strange dat raavi being madly in luv wid dev has never really confessed her feelings to him...all it was shown dat since childhood shiva used to tease her & dev was always there to protect her,drop her & dey hangout & mayb she fall in luv wid him due to his caring & protective nature bt wt made her think dat dev luvs her too......I mean I know dev was always there to help her bt he has never given any signal dat he wishes to marry her...i mean she told her family abt dev & sumwhere she openly confessed to dhara dat she wishes to b pandya family bahu also she told her friend dat she has planned to name her & dev's daughter devi(dev+raavi) bt I found it really unrealistic dat inspite of crazily luving dev she never proposed to him so wt made her think dat dev luvs her too...I mean I know later wen her family went to pandya house for her rishta she was under d impression dat dev also agreed for their marriage bt prior to dis dey both never communicate abt marriage or their feelings towards each other or have I missed smthing....wud love to hear ur views on dis topic.

I was re-watching some of the old episodes last night, and you are absolutely right! It is quite strange that Raavi was under the perception that Dev liked her, especially when they've never really had a decent conversation with each other (she honestly has more screen time and conversation with Shiva than with any of the other brothers). It makes it hard to believe that anyone, even Shiva, became convinced that Dev and Raavi are "lovers."

In terms of Raavi's perceptions, I've always thought Raavi was a girl who lived with her head in the clouds. With the number of dreams she's had, I'm pretty sure at one point, her dream Dev blended with real-life Dev and she mistakenly thought Dev liked her. She probably also misinterpreted Dev's kindness as him liking her because Shiva and Krish weren't as nice to her.

I don't think she ever confessed because she probably wanted the confession moment to be absolutely perfect. Every time Dev tried to talk to her, she would always stop him and say, "Not here." So maybe, she was very convinced he liked her back, and probably thought he knew about her feelings too.

I dont know if she ever felt that he liked her back but i think she definitely thought they could be perfect for each other. And considering she never proposed but everyone knew about her feelings probably meant that she thought he knew about them and never objected since he never told her anything about it. Even Shiva warned Dev to stay away from Raavi in case she got the wrong idea but he kept saying that he cant be mean to her just because Shiva is...so, he was aware of certain things and he could have cleared things up.

I'm not trying to take any sides here because in my opinion, they were both in the wrong. RAAVI for assuming things and Dev for not saying anything even when their wedding was planned. I understand that he spoke to Dhara and Gombhi but he should have said these things to Raavi himself instead of hoping that someone else was going to fix the situation for him.

You guys are all right. It was a childhood crush that just became a normal for her. I think she was more in love with becoming a part of the Pandya family than marrying Dev. I’d like to believe that cause if she just loved Dev, she’d probably not be okay with someone else taking him away. And she certainly wouldn’t be okay with marrying Shiva. That version of Raavi would be a threat to Rishita.

Couldn't agree with you more than on this point. I think Raavi's infatuation for the Pandya family began when she saw how nice everyone (perhaps minus Shiva) was. She was young, but probably mature enough, to understand what was happening during Gaumbi and Dhara's wedding. As she grew older, her desire for becoming a Pandya bahu probably grew stronger and stronger. She wanted to be a part of the loving family (and maybe even wanted in on the group hugs they have 😆).

I think she picked Dev in part because he was nice and didn't know how to say no to her, but also because she probably couldn't marry Krish (he would be too young for her) and Shiva, well, he was always too mean to her. If she ever looked into retrospect, I think she would realize that the level of comfort she had with Shiva, from touching him, teasing him, and even pranking him, she didn't have with Dev.

Now that I look back into retrospect, I wonder if the choices she made during the wedding (especially to harm herself) were due to not being able to marry Dev or due to not being able to become a Pandya bahu. You're absolutely right @raindropsroses, if she really, really loved Dev, I don't think she would let someone else take him away. As of now, I think most of the shock/sad glances she sends in Dev and Rishita's way is more due to not being able to have a loving husband than the thought of losing Dev.

Awesome thread!! I agree. There was never any proposal. I’ve maintained that Raavi wasn’t ever in love with Dev. Her dream was to become a Pandya family ki Bahu.

As much as I love her, she was an airhead before this fiasco. Totally clueless and lived in a cloud. I’m hoping she realizes it soon enough.
Also all her sadness is I loved Dev, I lost out, I, I, and more I!! She’s not even talking or thinking along the lines that Dev doesn’t love her and never has!!
