I felt this as well. In that room, in that moment, he was standing all alone against Pallavi who had her entire family standing behind her, as well as his own sister (which crushed him the most... that hurt and angry look on his face 😒)

This is what brought out that line later "wo saree ka dukaan to apne amma ke saath rehta hai na, to mere aur mere amma ke beech mein deewar kyun ban raha hai?" That his amma and sister side with her Instead of him is painful for him, and he channels that frustration on to Pallavi 😔
